Chris bell is a really good wr.  But I don’t see him being much of a factor next season, so I’m not sure if we should do it.  I know it’s short sighted, but we need to win now!!!!

5th round. I don't like players in the draft coming off ACL injuries

Uhhhh, no. At the latest he will go in the 2nd. Some teams like SF and Denver are rumored to be a possibility in the 1st. It's not like he shredded his knee.

A 30+ year old Diggs was a full go for TC. Why can't an early 20's Bell be ready for TC? They said the tear was clean

Yea rumor is he’ll be ready by training camp . Obviously that’s the Bell team saying that so each teams doc will have to determine that

Diggs was unbelievable.  I have no idea how he came back like that.  Pink powder maybe?

what does a clean acl tear mean? I don’t really know.  Medical check will be important.

Yea if he is the top draft WR for the Bills I would be a bit disappointed. Though he is very good at crossers for Brady’s offense.

He's a true #1 like Tyson. But both have injury concerns

If the bills are confident in both that they'll be ready for training camp then I'll trust the pick.

But if you're going to pick one of those guys it's probably a good idea to take another wide receiver in rds 4 or 5 just in case as a backup plan b

Eh if he does become a # 1 it would be like a Michael Thomas 1 at his peak versus your elite 1s

I dont see Oliver leaving this year.  His trade value is down due to injury and I think Leonhart wants to see what he can do.

And with ME saying that...they will most likely trade him😁

Chris Bell is intriguing. He’s a bigger version of Diggs to me. He’s a QBs best friend where he always finds the open zones and is looking back for the ball. I like him but the injury would have him behind others that I like similar like KC Concepcion and Omar Cooper

Oh I like Bell a lot as well, and if I could verify his true health he would move up quite a bit in my ranking but he’s a possession X like you said he’ll make his living underneath not as a field stretcher

I also like that he’s a natural hands catcher and looks like he could stretch the field with his speed but you’re right he was never asked to in this offense. I agree it’s a pass unless he drops to the end of 2nd round imo

If the bills took

1. Freeling LT

2. Chris Bell. WR

That's a very futuristic 1st two picks

If we did get Freeling first round they better get on the phone before the first round ends with Chicago and trade Dawkins for DJ Moore and the bears 2nd rounder. Then they can take the best pass rusher available with that bears pick and best WR available at end of 2nd (maybe Chris Bell although I’d prefer Fields)

Is Michael Thomas at his peak supposed to be a bad thing?

In all his first 4 years he had over 100 targets and got 1137, 1245, 1405 and 1725 yards with 9, 5, 9, and 9 TDs.  All in 16 games.

What the heck are our standards for an elite 1?

I can neither confirm nor deny that I've had a Top 30 visit with the Buffalo Bills.

Because some of you have reached out to me via PM for an update, I thought I'd just let everyone know that in fact, I have not heard from the Bills.

If and when I hear from them, I'll let all of you know.

I'm more along the lines of he's not going to run a plethora of routes that a true # 1 would run. Thomas was a great underneath football player, and if Bell reaches his peak he could be along the lines of a Michael Thomas. Plus we all know that no WR here is getting 130-150 targets here.

Are we there yet?

I did a double take when I saw his name. He's projected as a late day three pick. Lance Zierlein's report:

Quote

Elarms-Orr is a well-built linebacker with above-average athleticism but problematic instincts. He has the speed and athleticism to get to the football from sideline to sideline. However, he frequently struggles with recognizing blocking schemes and too often loses track of play development. He’s rangy but average in zone coverage, with talent as a blitzer worth continued exploration. He will need improved processing but should dial in as a backup with a full-time role on special teams.

No surprise, we are looking at LBs that are pure athletes more than cerebral players. I think Leonhard just wants guys in the 2nd level that can get after it and he won't put as much on their plate as McDermott did. Chenal still fits the bill if we can afford him and maybe Dorian Williams will benefit too.

I’m a Chris Bell fan in round 2. Limited route tree to mostly slants and crossers but he has some juice and is a serious YAC guy.
