I believe this is the first one reported:

These are something to watch with the Bills. Last year Hairston, Sanders, Walker, and Strong were all top 30 visits.

He would be an excellent 2nd round pick for what I believe would be a more athletic/attacking type 3-4 defense under Leonard.

Anybody familiar with him?

Profile on him is he's a physical run stopping LB but needs to refine his coverage instincts. Somewhat similar profile to Leo Chenal coming out. Not an archetype we sought out under McDermott but it will be an important skill set in Leonhard's defense. We're going to be looking at front 7 players that would have previously been off our radar.

He’s kind of an old school thumper with obvious NFL pedigree. He’ll go late round 2 or early 3 so they are probably considering him at 60. Bigger and faster is what we need and he has the size

These are starting early this year, right? Don’t think I remember hearing of one prior to free agency in past years

Nope, that was my 1st thought as well.

Just when I finally got a bead on the types of players the McBeane team always went after, darn it!

I'm sure they still value high character, smart, experienced, and versatile players but it'll be a bit trickier this year to dial in on who they have a lot of interest in.

Yea it will be interesting to see how the first offseason of Joe/Beane unfurls. Personally, I am hoping this is a sign we are going to be restrained with our free agent acquisitions this year and focus more on trades, other teams cuts and the draft.

We need 1-2 WR in FA, And 1-2 LB's.  Fill in the rest in the draft

We don’t need the WRs in FAs. Get the cheaper positions in FAs like LB and safety and maybe Max Crosby if we can. Then grab 2-3 WRs in this draft. It’s deep even if it doesn’t have a Nabers or a Jeremiah Smith.

Jeff Caldwell is my sleeper WR right now. I’d love him in the 4th if he’s there.

No WR that we can get in this draft is going to make the impact an FA will. Address WR in FA,then if they want a 3rd round WR so be it.

Brane is going to trade out of the 1st, so I dont see a 2nd round WR in this draft coming in and competing for a starting spot.

I think this may be the single most important thing to watch in upcoming a couple of months. All the additions will be interesting, but the guys who made the make or break the season for the bills are the front seven defenders.

I don’t agree. I don’t want an old Mike Evans or to overpay for a Romeo Doubs when I can get a cheap contract on players that have just as much ability at this point. Mike Evans isn’t the Mike Evans of 10 years ago. This is a good wide receiver draft, our front office just needs to pick the right guys and not go after special team legends like Justin shorter.

It's interesting how we have so many different takes on the roster priorities and how best to fill them.  We all generally recognize where the holes are but differ in how best to fill them.  Just as in other years, Beane will find a few value free agents to sprinkle in and fill the rest through the draft.  Until he has done his work in free agency, it's hard to determine his highest priorities going into the draft.  In the past, he has not flooded a single position group with too many rookies.  Although, adding both Sanders and Walker deviated a bit from that recent tendency.  As in the past, cap dollars and future spending will be more conservative than many of us would like to see.  Those of us who are looking for a big splash free agent or trade will probably be sadly disappointed.
