1. 60+ yard field goals = 4 points
2.  One foot in bounds = catch
3. Red zone penalties revert to half the distance to the goal.
4. The "Tush Push" is eliminated.
5. No punting inside the opponent’s 50-yard line.
6. Overtime: 3 alternating attempts per team from the 5 yard line.

7. Point aftertouchdown options:
- 1 point – Kick from the 33-yard line
- 2 points – Ball on the 2-yard line
- 3 points – Ball on the 8-yard line

Season starts Friday, March 27.

60 yard FG for 4 points is going to make for some interesting scenarios.

They shortened the 3pt extra point from 10 yards to 8.  And 18 point lead will still just be a 2-score game.

Why not keep on going?

4 points from the 20

5 points from the 30

6 points from the 40

7 points from midfield

They're desperate to hang on, IMO. They don't have the star power, so they've got to get goofy.

I think it’s cool for it to continue to be a lab for new rules.

That's exactly what the XFL did.

Interesting, no punting inside opponents 50 yard line. So if you're opponent has it at their 48 yard line, 3rd and 15, you would want to give up 3 yards so they have to go for it on 4th and 12.  The rule looks like it's forcing teams to be aggressive, but it may have the opposite effect. In the aforementioned scenario, teams my opt to take a knee on 3rd down and punt.

I totally agree. Kickers are making insanely long kicks these days. I am all for the NFL adopting this rule.

I hate teams getting rewarded more for long field goals. Why should a team be rewarded for not being able to drive further into their opponents territory?

I'm in favor of a partnership between the NFL and the UFL.

IMO it's the only way the UFL can survive... by becoming a developmental league for the NFL and reaping all the benefits thereof.

So you admit it... you're in favor of giving more points for shorter field goals!!!

Bills legend Zach Davidson is on Louisville, FWIW

Eric Wood is some kind of community support leader for them too

Can we adopt them?

Fine by me. When the AAF was a thing, I remember picking the Birmingham Iron to follow because our old punter Colton Schmidt was with them.

Over and over, it has been proven that the NFL has not viewed these leagues as "developmental" and the proof is that, despite 5 different leagues playing a total of 15 seasons over 50 years, a tiny number of players have made the leap to the NFL.  They would only put real money into this league if they could get money out of it, which they can't.

The NFL would rather sponsor flag football than UFL.

Didn’t even realize it was still a thing- it’s Arena Football with slightly better QB play- I have a hard to getting into alternate leagues - maybe I’ll give it a go again

In my mind it always kind of made more sense to make the closer field goals worth more points.

In other words reward the team for penetrating deeper into their opponents zone even if they can't finish for 6.
