Nothing will ever top the buffalo mascot from 1974 -- two dudes in a hilariously amateur costume walking synchronously like one of those horses you'd see in a high school play:

I have a great mascot story.

Many years ago I did PR work for a business. We had a mascot event at a local minor league baseball teams stadium.

We had the crime dog rapel down a rope from a helicopter, Yogi bear, the crash test dummies guys and more.

I was escorting the crash test dummies down the concourse to the field when about 8 little kids came screaming and running at the crash test dummies.

Thinking they were excited to meet them, but one of the little bastards runs right up and kicks the one dead square in the package!

The dummy went down hard, writhing in pain on the ground! All the little kids were laughing and pointing at him. We helped him get to his feet and fortunately there was a locker room close by and we got him in there. He throws off his helmet and is dropping F bombs & how he's going to kill that little MF'er! 😂

I still get tears even typing this, he was so pissed! I guess this is a thing after talking with the other mascots that kids do stuff like this to them.

Crazy scene. Every time I see those crash test dummies I think of this story 😀

This was the first and only home game I've ever been to.

I was more interested in OJ than the rest of the team.  But OJ got hurt and our chances looked dim against a Raiders team that was undefeated on MNF.  Seemed pointless to keep watching.  And then it wasn't.

You've never been to a home game since Orionthal James Simpson?

Dude... You're way past due...

Is it just a really tall person in the front for the hump or is it just framing? Even better, is it two smaller people with one on the others shoulders???

Game was blacked out in WNY, we had to listen to Al Meltzer, Rick Azar, and Ed Rutkowski call the game on the radio (it was that short period when Van Miller wasn't doing the games).

Blanda misses what today would be considered a chip shot 50 yard FG at the end.

Dude... You're way past due...

I've been to away games in Miami, San Francisco, and Kansas City...   but no home games since OJ.

Yeah, way past due.  Told the wife we're going to see games in the new stadium.
