Was listening to WGR and one of their correspondents today said that Nico Collin’s is flying under the radar as available for trade.

Sorry, I don’t remember the name of the guy who said it, but doubled down on it a few times.

His name has been mentioned on here once or twice. There are always a guy or two who are available that your rarely hear about. Drake London and Ceedee Lamb were a couple of other names thrown out. None are likely but who knows what motivations other teams have.

ceedee is a guy I’d throw multiple firsts at

Pickens went nuts when Ceedee was out. I could see a situation where they trade him instead of Pickens because they’ll get a significantly higher return. I haven’t looked at the cap ramifications but I’m sure they’re damaging for Dallas.

I wish the guy would have explained more about it and why he thinks he is on the block.

Nah, it’s enough. Couple more posts it’ll be fact.

Unless the Texans have gave up on Stroud, why in the world would they trade Nico? Seriously doubt this would happen.

don’t want to pay him. And they have basically three rising star receivers, plus Tank Dell coming back.

I hope you’re right Miyagi-San.  He’s a perimeter true X receiver, not a slot Z Like someone pointed out.  He has the perimeter speed that’s worth the $24 mil. Per for the next two years.  If they would take the trade, they’ve already paid a bunch of his signing bonus.  We could also extend him and smooth out the compensation to make palatable.  Who knows if this is just insider gossip, or real.

Ive said it now a few times, but the other is Brian Thomas Jr..  He’s very little for two years, and we can control him for a 3rd yr. With a 5th year option.  That’s one of those Let’s get stupid discussions, but we’re set.  Extend Cooks for the minimum and there is our receiver class.  We almost have to keep Palmer with the cap hit, but we should be able to find some taker on Coleman. For even a 4th or 5th pick.

Who knows it’s just speculation.

Cris Collinsworth was pretty harsh during the playoff game. He said Stroud is still riding the success of his rookie season and the Texans will have a lot to think about in the off-season about his future.

Everybody is connecting every single WR to Buffalo haha.  There's an article on Yahoo that AJ Brown has asked for a trade to the Bills.  Feels like everyone is just throwing turds at the wall so they can claim "they knew" if something sticks

Maybe WRs want to play with the best QB in the NFL.

Can you imagine catching passes from Allen after catching Hurts moon balls? Diggs became an instant top-5 WR when he got here.

That would be quite surprising!

Why would they be trading him?

The only reason I can think of is the injury risk with him. He misses a lot of time each year.  Partly because Stroud gets his WRs killed.

Considering Stroud is useless without Collins, this is the only plausible reason I can come up with. Unless Nico just hates CJ's guts and is Diggsing his way out of Houston? Haven't heard anything to support that.

I would take either Nico or BJT. Nico has the better track record of production (more of a sure bet), but you are right re the contract control for BJT (and probably a lot less to get him).
