First Person to throw for 4,000 yards Led football and passing yards three times Led completion's twice Led touchdowns once Led yards per game three times Most game-winning drives four times Led the league in sack percentage Led yards per attempt twice Retired with the most passing yards per game And won the Super bowl when nobody gave the Jets a chance The dude is absolutely a Hall of famer ... The ball left Joe Namath's hand different than 95% of quarterbacks from his era Any player with those accolades of leading the league in those categories as much as he did are Hall of famers Someone who knew Namath once said you had to differentiate between the healthy Joe (college, early pro) with the unhealthy, unsteady-on-his-legs Namath of later years. Healthy Namath, he argued, was an all-time great. Unhealthy Namath was bad. Edited February 23 by hondo in seattle 1 Quote

There is an argument to be made that he is the best TE of all time. It all depends on your opinion of what makes someone the best. Gronk is probably the best all around TE for sure. His blocking is equally as good as his receiving. Antonio Gates is the best pure receiver i’ve seen at TE. Better red zone threat as well with 24 more TDs than Gronk. It’s really a toss up between these 2 in what your preference is building your team. I’m picking Gronk if i have a more balanced offense with a high quality run game and decent QB. If i had a team with an elite QB + passing offense I am picking arguably the biggest mismatch in NFL history Gates. Edited February 23 by ChronicAndKnuckles 1 Quote
Don Otreply Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Being that it is the hall of fame, not the hall of Manning…, out side of beating the patriots, he doesn’t deserve to be there, jmo. Quote
Uncle Buck Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Eli is the Hall of Very Good, not the HoF. The Tyree catch and Wes Welker dropping a ball he catches 100 of 100 attempts are what gave him 2 SB wins. Kurt Warner is similar. Not really HoF material. Quote

Were any of them voted SB MVP twice? Want me to give you a list of Super Bowl MVP’s? It ain’t as prestigious as you think! Quote
