Don’t believe he has any ties to Carolina so I’m going guess he’s a no for Beane

This offseason could be different. McDermott is gone and Terry promoted Beane to President of Football Ops as well as remaining GM. Beane knows the pressure is 100% on him to improve the roster.

Would love to know if he fits our new D. Otherwise, pass.

he's a great pass rusher. Fits anywhere

Another factor is that they had just drafted Paxton Lynch in the 1st round in 2016.

They got burned bad on Lynch. He was more interested in video games than the playbook. A less talented Kyler Murray apparently

Jerry Jones was pissed they missed out on Paxton Lynch and had to settle for Dak. Say what you will about Dak, but that looks amazing in hindsight

I'd take him on a prove it deal. Would not over pay for him by any means though

Not sure if his contract had offset language in it. He may be available fairly cheap for the Bills if it did.

Chubb's had 48.5 sacks in 90 career games.

He had 8.5 sacks last year.

There will be plenty of interest... there are many needy pass rush teams and not enough pass rushers in the league.

The Bills signed Joey Bosa to a 1 year $12 million contract last year.

Chubb's gonna cost more than that I would imagine.

Offer 3 years 45 mill and have daddy warpegula pony up a big bonus 😁

Yeah, pretty amazing.  Passing on the closest guy to an Elway clone who comes from the Mountain West (kind of like Bills passing on hometown boy Gronk), and you’re banking on - was it Case Keenum? - to be your QB of the future. Kind of crazy when you look back at it.

Have you read the topic of Allen's running ability by ChronicAndKnuckles which has the old thread of reaction of Bills fans when Allen was drafted? Majority of Bills fan thought  is was a mistake drafting Allen. The rest of them basically said we trust the management because ... we have no choice! And the media was that way too.

It is a gamble that probably a first time GM like Beane would make. Elway was burned before, like a song said "Once bitten, twice shy." Give Elway some credit that he did not go for the other Josh at the time like many of the Bills fan would (and some team like the Dolphins was reported about to do).

The Chargers' McDaniel would be all over Hill now, though I feel if KC matches the offer, he would be back to Arrowhead.

Bills would use both but difficult to outbid those teams with equally high caliber QBs.

he being picked over #17 is a legacy he didn't ask for but he has it.. He clearly can ball. Would he fit into a Bills uniform?

I root for the laundry and that decision involves salary cap and math well above my pay grade.

if he can fit into the new defensive scheme then great! Sign him! I bet he will be overpaid by a different team though. Just a guess

Does it make it easier or harder to get Waddle now?

It's a little of both........easier because if they are re-hauling their roster, then Waddle may be a prime candidate for teams to target......and harder because the Fins will either want too much for him or won't want to let him go and at least have something workable on the roster moving forward.
