I only asked why you call him Carlos.  And it turns out that everyone calls him Carlos because thats his name.

The Jackal goes by many names.

But this guy is just Carlos, the DoodDash driver.

The million dollar reward should have been put out much sooner because friends will snitch on friends for this amount. Especially when the so called friend is a devious low life that preys on elderly woman.

There’s a snitch threshold? I mean….well, just an odd perspective to me. 🤷‍♂️

Enough money for the rest of your life vs enough for a couple years? Seriously?

Family members will turn on you for a million...

…..sounds like you got a price in mind. 🫠

Even the perp himself could say, "mom, their going to eventually catch me anyway. Turn me in"...🤷‍♂️

Last I heard the reward was 200 or 300k but offered from different entities. The professional law enforcement I have seen commenting on this case did not think the reward amount was limiting the tips they are getting. They mentioned that when reward amounts get very high, it brings in all sorts of wild, mostly unhelpful responses as people try to win the lottery.

More tips the better in my humble opinion. Someone always wins the lottery.

Yeah, don’t think it works that way there Columbo.

Do you think you know how a deranged individuals mind is going to work?

I'm sure there's plenty of bad people in this world that are still watching out for mom.

For $2 Mil I will turn you in. Have you ever been to that state before?

Never mind, let’s not get bogged down with those little details. I could use the cash!

Maybe he means the informant will never really see the full reward money, like everything else, all a tactic.

"Informants often face challenges in collecting the full reward money promised, as the process can be complicated and delayed due to bureaucratic issues. While some informants do receive substantial payments, they may not always receive the entire amount initially offered.

Conclusion:

While informants can receive substantial rewards, they often do not see the full amount initially promised. Factors such as payment structures, bureaucratic delays, and the need for convictions can significantly impact the final payout."

FWIW...

Well, since you asked. Had an issue with a rattlesnake while there. Helicoptered through the Grand Canyon too.

My siblings probably turn me in for nothing.

What are your thoughts on zero eyes tech? Could our neighborhoods, door cams benefit from a security standpoint with this type of technology? I would think a mask could easily be programmed in.🤷‍♂️

Have not a single security measure. Sleep with windows open in the summer, pretty sure the only house in the neighborhood, house getting dirty pollen dusty is a pain though. No blinds or drawn curtains on downstairs windows, never check locks, wife does, plenty of morns they’re unlocked. No guns for obvious reasons…..so no thoughts on it.

God bless and keep you safe.

Since we are a couple weeks into this with nothing new here….

We just rented a big house at the front of a 5 acre compound in FL. (It was a deal because it’s out east, and we needed room for dogs to run.) When we arrived there was a problem with the heat so the owner came over. We asked about locking the door when we left as it was open for us when we arrived. He just laughed and said “I’m not really sure, that hasn’t been looked in a year or two”.

My wife scolded him for having so many super valuable collectibles from all over the world just sitting out. “Some people will steal this $%8&!”  😂

He just shrugged. It was mom’s house before she passed and they left everything exactly as it was….to the point of being creepy. Oh well. The brother lives a short walk down the drive so they figure that’s good enough.

My wife gets po’d when she sees the doors not locked. But I’m usually up until 2:00, so I tell her odds are I’ll be awake to let the burglars in. Couple summers back heard kids around then, went out saw them, yelled I’m calling cops. They ran, never called the cops, found out they had broken into cars, but not mine.

Sorry, I can’t find an emoji that covers everything here. I’m glad you didn’t get broken into, but I’m sorry others did. I’m glad your wife didn’t get to say “I TOLD YOU SO!”, but I’d have loved to have been there to see her do it.  😊
