Now that I got sucked up into this, just saw they found a pair of gloves near the victim’s home.

Can scratch you know who off the list.

I'm not sure his ghost would want to travel to Arizona cuz of the dry heat.

Man, the resources being poured into this case, seems unprecedented.

That was one thing that I wanted to touch on... what makes Nancy Guthrie any different than the hundreds, maybe thousands, of missing/kidnapped people in the US. Her daughter is famous but I never really knew who the daughter was until this particular case. Mary Smith's case certainly isn't getting this kind of attention...

Savannah Guthrie is a high profile NBC personality.  Rightly or wrongly, the famous get the attention.

Additionally, I’d guess that not many 80 year old elderly women are seemingly abducted in the US each year. Any elderly woman who was abducted and vanished would get a lot of media attention due to the pure rarity of a completely random kidnapping.

Some of the new items -

They have found a second black glove for evidence testing.

The backpack is a black Ozark Trail brand sold by Walmart.

They have his height.

…and here is the scumbag accused of sending fake ransom demand to the family.

This is terrible whatever has happened to Nancy and what her family and friends have had to go through, but I would be remiss to not mention…

that in 2025 in Arizona alone there were 55 missing indigenous woman, and their disappearances get essentially no media coverage and nowhere near the law enforcement support of a case of a tv personality’s mother.

To learn more I recommend the video below. A longer watch but worthwhile.

I think it's important to note that Nancy Guthrie’s last post on the neighborhood messaging app Nextdoor was on Dec. 28, in which she asked if someone was missing an Amazon package. That was only one of two posts from 2025. Is it possible Nancy has given law enforcement the clue they need that could help crack the case 2 months earlier?

This package needs to be tracked down and cameras on the date of delivery need to be looked at IMO.

Was the delivery man Carlos?

Abductions of 80-year-old women are rare enough to warrant plenty of local media attention but not much national media attention.

"Completely random kidnappings" happen more than we would like to admit, most often by serial killers who successfully hide their victims.  The difference is that these are not often recognized as kidnappings at the time, so the victims are considered "missing persons" not "kidnapping victims".

Wouldn't that still be a "real" ransom demand? The only difference, he doesn't have custody of the lady. To me, the ransom demand itself is still real. I know.......semantics.

Add finding the victims blood on the scene. It becomes immediately clear to law enforcement finding the elderly lady as swiftly as possible is paramount.

Tonight there is some sort of a SWAT activation in the same general residential area about 2 miles from Nancie’s home. Apparently a man and woman were detained. I hope they finally solve the case.

One of the crazy things last night was the address of the home that was raided was somehow learned by YouTube reporters/investigators and paparazzi hours before the actual raid. Dozens of them were parked all over the neighborhood when the police arrived.

They have a vehicle in custody.

Other news is they found DNA from an unknown person inside the house.
