Let's keep this clean, you animals.

We have a spare bedroom at home that we've semi converted into an office as well and every once in a while, if i'm working late in my home office, i'll just crash in the spare bed.

I've told people this and they just look at me like i have two heads........people genuinely seem confused with the whole concept.

..........do you sleep with your wife or am i the abnormal one here?!?

When my wife went through her treatments it was brutal, the side effects hit her hard. Almost two years of absolute misery and getting decent sleep a rarity for her. Throw in my then fat azz sleep apnea, between the both she was losing it at night. Me too to some degree. Solution, separate bedrooms across the hall, we can still talk. During her rough years we steadily watched TV together and compromise on what to watch, we agree on movies, sports weren't as important, I didn't care. DVR addressed that and I started getting the MLB and NBA services, watch my sports after she'd go to bed about 10.

It's now our routine, we're very happy with it. We tell others, get a look sometimes....whatever.

When i broke my back many years ago, i ended up sleeping in the spare room a lot.........i was in constant pain and it wasn't fair to my wife to have me whimpering all night and she wouldn't sleep.

I hear more and more that couples sleep apart, but when you bring it up to some people, they feel there must be something wrong with your marriage.

To each their own, i suppose

Is your wife a dominatrix? Maybe she likes this scenario. You should ask.

She's beaten me down and broken me and bent me to her will over the years, so........

Always, plus the two dogs, unless one of us is really sick. Then we go to the spare bedroom.

With work shifts we rarely go to bed the same time and without wanting to disturb other and comfort, we have plenty of nights where one sleeps in bed and other right nearby on living room couch or spare bed

Is your wife regularly visiting you at work? If so, I may have made a connection with another issue…….

Wife is in perimenopause (get ready guys who have yet to go through this hell) and her hot flashes are no joke. If everything aligns, she can sleep. I just do the right thing and let her have the bed and sleep across the hall.

The way my wife farts at night, I've considered separate beds 😁

Be nice, that was her Valentine’s Day gift to you.

When I go to the gym at 430a I sleep in a spare room sometimes. Or the off chance I'll sleep in past 6:30 and know she will wake up before me.

Regardless sleeping in the same bed I damn near melt. A full tummy and 4 cocktails last night I barely slept and was 5° over my average body temp.
