He had arguably 1/2 drives per playoff game where he looked great and the rest he looked anywhere from mediocre to dumpster fire. His defense deserves all the flowers for hauling his ass there They aren’t haha I see a lot of ‘at least we’re the second best team in the league’ 1 1 Quote

LetsGoRed Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Truly some of the consistently worst QB play I've ever seen from a team that made it to the Super Bowl. It's going to be a blissful few months of silence here in New England. 1 Quote
BRH Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Pats fans really got nothing in the end. A last-place schedule fell just perfectly (including Bengals without Burrow & Chase) gave them the division title and had people hyping their pedestrian QB for the MVP. Then the postseason draw fell even more perfectly (with some help from the local judiciary) and had people hyping their good-but-not-great defense as legendary. and it all finally came crashing down on the largest possible stage. How delicious. Maye is Just A Guy. A guy who played great when the pressure was off and tightened his sphincter almost every time it was on. I think that’s the last time we see that team in the SB for a good long while. 1 1 Quote

They shoulda lost to the stidham broncos but the nfl was likely dreading that Super Bowl lol still cannot fathom them getting both that sneak spot and ‘backwards pass/fumble’ call on the road in the playoffs Edited February 9 by Generic_Bills_Fan 4 Quote
BobbyC81 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 The way the DBs played in this game is the way I want to see the Bills DBs play next season. Same for the pass rush. I noticed on one 4th Quarter play that the Pats rushed 7, forcing Darnold to quickly throw it away. I loved it! No more bend but don’t break vanilla defense!!!!! Quote

Success Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I didn't expect how healing this game would be for my soul, and my outlook on next season. First time I've felt good since they called that Cooks catch an INT. 2 Quote

First time I've felt good since they called that Cooks catch an INT. Drake Maye showing that he might be more Derek Carr and less Joe Burrow is massive for us moving forward. Hes now got plenty of tape out there and with more exposure has started showing CJ Stroud-like cracks. Also NE, with all their money, may need to unexpectedly invest on OL with their rookie LG looking terrible most of the year and their rookie LT potentially being unplayable at that position in the NFL. 1 Quote
