We can go BPA, minus QB and RB, and improve this team especially on Defense. Im looking forward to FA and the draft moreso than the last couple of years. So you’re cool if the Bills WR are Shakir, Palmer, Coleman, Cooks, Shavers and 3rd round draft pick? 1 Quote

As for Leonhard, I’m optimistic his change in approach will be better for the defense, although this is his first time as DC at the pro level, so it’s still TBD in my mind as to whether our coaching talent has improved on that side of the ball. I was talking with brother Rich about this today. It will take 2 offseasons to get it fully staffed how we want, but...if we can improve on 3rd and long and actually get to the QB in the 4th, then we are improved. Give Josh 3 more possessions per game. That right there would be huge. 1 1 1 Quote
Einstein Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I would be very excited if we didn’t hire McD’s mentee. 1 3 1 Quote

He has flat nailed his assistant coaches. All HC's were coordinators at some point, give him a chance. 1 3 1 Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted February 8 Posted February 8 It absolutely feels that way to me. It’s the first offseason I was excited to get to in a long time. We finally have a chance. Not just praying for miracle and turnovers with a dead end coach and defense. I can’t wait to see what we have on defense 1 1 Quote
Success Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Right there with you, OP. And what else is there? If these changes fail, they fail. But this was all very much needed, and I can't wait to see what this staff does - especially on defense. I've said it before, but we may look back on the Denver loss w/ some real gratitude. 1 1 Quote
Nihilarian Posted February 9 Posted February 9 It makes me wonder if McDermott was cursed or something with so many injuries over the years, along with just plain bad luck. At this point, I don't know if this firing was a good move or a bad move. I dunno, McDermott seemed to always get more out of his players every year, and this past season, 12-5 with so many injuries. Pulling games out with his defense in the second half by taking over play calling. I guess we need to wait and see what this new coaching change will do this year. 4 Quote

Jimmy Harris 69 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 As much as I respect Sean McDermott, the man, his firing was overdue. If Mr. Pegula’s goal is truly the Super Bowl, he couldn’t wait any longer. A new defense, new coaches and a new approach in 2026 is helping me move past the Denver game. You what would have sucked big time—- Coach McDermott running back his high shell defense and run heavy offense. Fu@k me. 1 1 Quote
KingBoots8 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 (edited) Feeling like we take the division back when the Pats don’t have a Charmin Soft schedule next season lol. The SB has given me unyielding rage for not being there ourselves, but hope that we are keeping what works and changing what hasn’t. Edited February 9 by KingBoots8 2 Quote

Chicken Boo Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Without a doubt, this Super Bowl had to light a fire under this team's ass. The coaching change couldn't have come at a better time. 2 1 1 Quote
