Fan in Chicago Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I fervently hope this game doesn't play out like SB 25 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I had a nightmare last night that NE won comfortably. 1 1 Quote
JakeFrommStateFarm Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Sam Darnold has another big game meltdown turning the ball over 4 times, 3 picks 1 fumble Pats offense plays like crap too but they make a long FG at the end to win 23-21. Quote

Oh, the unfairness of it all...can't even keep a local gem to ourselves 😂 Yeah .... but no Sahlen's hot dogs at Wegmans here! 1 Quote

They'll never expect us or know what hit them. I suspect their lacrosse team planned the Wegmans giveaway to New England as retaliation for the Bandits championships. No mercy given ! 1 4 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted February 8 Posted February 8 This has to be the least hype for a Super Bowl I can remember. The concentration of star QBs in the AFC doesn't help. Plus none of them made it to this game. I've felt more hype for mid-season MNF games 2 Quote
zow2 Posted February 8 Posted February 8 If there's a team and a city that doesn't deserve the reward of another Super Bowl Championship it's Boston. The AFC conference has really stepped aside for New England and KC for too long.. 1 Quote

There has been more hype for good regular season matchups this year than this SB. Hadn’t thought about it too much until now. Maybe the Olympics are taking away some of the coverage and hype? 1 1 Quote

Rams Patriots would have the top 2 vote getters for MVP storyline, plus Stafford going for ring #2. I know it sounds odd because Maye is in the game so that sounds contradictory. But Maye is supporting cast level right now. Seahawks are good but kind of boring. Same with NE. Best anyone can seemingly do is "Darnold is a cool story" Quote
eball Posted February 8 Posted February 8 1 hour ago, BuffaloBillyG said: Yeah, If this was Buffalo in the Super Bowl there would be mass hysteria. Wegmans would be sold out of everything. Even fruit. Priests wearing Zubaz vestments in church today. 89 year old grandmothers leaping through tables. Emergency Rooms full. Lots of alcohol poisoning because the drinking would have started two weeks ago. Air planes forced to land early all across the country as Bills Mafia moves in huge number to San Francisco causing havoc in the air. Trolleys in San Fran hijacked and pained in red white and blue. National Guard called in. Chicken Wings sold out. Dave Portnoy sacrificed to the football Gods... Dude, I was living in Buffalo during the 90s SB run and it was crazy. We laughed and called it “shanty town” because on seemingly every street corner there were stands set up selling SB merchandise. It was nuts. 1 1 Quote

Haslett_Stomp Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I bet my buddy $100 if it is close in the 2nd half there will be a pro-Pats* penalty that changes the momentum leading to a Pats* win. 1 1 Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted February 8 Posted February 8 (edited) The truth is THIS patriots team hasn’t done anything to anyone. They haven’t been arrogant, they haven’t cheated at every turn, they haven’t been consistently beating us with the same core for decades. The coach isn’t a miserable creep, the refs haven’t handed them games, the fans haven’t been intolerable #######s….This is just a normal team that’s sort of quiet and worked hard to play physical and took advantage of a soft schedule. Good for them. The hate for this Patriots team is manufactured because of the logo. We are all so concerned about the possibly of them winning. The team I’m mad at over this is the Bills. Im mad at McDermott for never being buttoned up with details enough to have been here. You can’t be the 1 seed because you couldn’t handle the Dolphins. Or the falcons. Just laying random eggs every single season because stopping the run isn’t important. Can’t get it done against the anemic broncos offense and Bo Nix in the playoffs because if it’s not a turnover, there is zero chance you make a big stop. Gotta give up 33 there. This could have been us, this should have been us. We went to NE and beat them after being down 3 TDs in the first half. We are better. But they did what we couldn’t do. Obviously over time this team is our rival and none of us want good things for them. But this exact group has done nothing to any of us. If anything I’m jealous. They have a coach that would have gotten us there. The city is probably quiet because they are super anxious. Nobody is giving them a chance but this will be a tight game. That’s what a defense does for you. Gives you a chance every week. Hopefully we are about to experience the same thing for a change Edited February 8 by Brianmoorman4jesus 2 Quote

That team has gotten insanely lucky all year with the way things shook out for them. 2 Quote

I don't think the Bills defense would have managed Herbert as well as the Pats, and we have seen how the Texans D gives Josh headaches. 1 Quote
