Many threads to sort through, but I know Brady mentioned some might be staying?

I'm sure there are a few. I think we still have a "senior advisor to defense" type position that could be filled if they find the right guy

Is Rob Boras leaving?

Not sure, thats why I'm wondering, I haven't heard anything. That is one position coach I wouldnt touch.  DL, LB are the big ones left I think?

NM April III and John Egorugwu  are coaching the LB's. I love the fact we have ILB and OLB coaches separate from each other. The guys just have to worry about their jobs not every LB position.

So DL Coach is the question and that is a huge Coaching hire we need to hit on

The team hired Bobby April III as outside linebackers coach and John Egorugwu as inside linebackers coach.

I think this is what we have so far:

Head Coach — Joe Brady

Offensive Coordinator — Pete Carmichael

Defensive Coordinator — Jim Leonhard

Special Teams Coordinator — Jeff Rodgers

Offensive Line — Pat Meyer

Quarterbacks — Bo Hardegree

Wide Receivers — Drew Terrell

Inside Linebackers — Bobby April III

Outside Linebackers — John Egorugwu

Cornerbacks — Jay Valai

Here are the holdovers we don't know that will stay or be replaced (I'm assuming all defensive ones will be replaced):

Rob Boras, TE coach

Kelly Skipper, RB coach

Joe Danna, safeties coach

Austin Gund, assistant OL coach

Marc Lubick, pass game specialist

DJ Mangas, OFF quality control/assistant WR coach

Ryan Nielsen, senior DEF assistant

Mike Pellegrino, nickel DB coach

Jason Rebrovich, assistant DL coach

Kyle Shurmur, OFF quality control

Christian Taylor, DEF assistant

Turner West, assistant ST coach

So, not taking assistants and quality control, etc. into account:

If we retain Boras and Skipper, it looks like the offensive staff is pretty much set (as far as main position coaches). If not, we need RB and TE coaches.

On defense, it appears we still need a D-Line coach and a safeties coach (unless Leonard retains Joe Dana and Jason Rebrovich).

In my opinion they need a game management coach up in the booth.

Brady has never been a head coach, at any level!

How will he utilize timeouts, manage the clock, know when to challenge calls, etc.. He needs an experienced voice in his ear to guide him.

That's my biggest concern with Brady, game management.   It took McD years to figure it out.   The Bills can't afford to take a step back in that area.

Nielsen is gone. Signed somewhere else. Minnesota I think.

I would like to see a Sr. Gameday assistant hired.

How about a common sense coordinator (CSC)?

Brady:  "Okay, it's the biggest drive of the game. I'm thinking Cook up the middle on 1st and 2nd down, then a bubble screen to a WR who has zero targets today on 3rd and long."

CSC:  "We should do something else."

TE coach Boras seems pretty well liked and respected by the team plus he has a ton of experience including some time as an OC so he seems like a good one to keep around.

Same with the RB coach Kelly Skipper. Wouldn't mind keeping both of them.

I don’t understand why every coach doesn’t have a game management coach. It has to be impossible to do that well as the HC on the field during the game.

if I were the HC, I’d have a game management coach and some data geeks in the booth, and they would be making every major strategic decision (4th downs, challenges, etc.).

Deploy an agentic AI MCP server in the new stadium datacenter and let Brady and/or his staff interact with it during live games.

There is plenty of historical data available to accurately identify when exactly to call timeouts, or go for it on 4th, or go for 2, etc......   take advantage of technology!

Who the heck is our conditioning coach? I'd like to see our starters get through a game or two before we become the walking wounded...

Brady mentioned in the Eric Wood interview that there would be Offensive Coach holdovers.  I assume he meant Boras and Skipper at a minimum, with probably a lot of the assistant position/quality control coaches.

The Defensive Staff will be almost all new I would bet.

The Common Sense Coach is a fricking great idea.....Brady:  inside jet sweep on 4th and one.....put the CSC up in the booth with the remote for a shock collar...
