machine gun kelly Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Being out of two , I listened to the morning shows. Brown and Tasker was painful, as they work for the Bills. The afternoon show is a joke. I actually liked that the morning guys weren’t just homers. Maybe the Bills don’t seem to understand that makes them being an avenue to listen. No one wants a 24 hr. Show. No one and I mean no one will listen. If anything, it might be more interesting to listen. 2 1 Quote

You write a really good post game thread, as does Shaw 66. You should sign on for a post game show, the day after games. Your commentary as an op ed piece is far above the lunkheads calling in to complain after a loss. Your reflections after a game are always well thought out, win or lose. 1 1 Quote

They use to be a decent listen even with Schopp being a pompous a** but these days its run its course and nothing of substance comes from it. It also is gambling 24/7 1 1 Quote

Will fit in well with Ross Tucker. He always sounds like he has a snootful when he talks with Parker. 1 Quote

He might get a separate paycheck cut now from the Bills to be on their broadcast team I hope not. I dislike his on air attitude, just rubs me the wrong way. This move is no different for GR than it was when Wben took over the broadcast rights for a few years in the 80's n 90's. Chuck Dickerson had a field day with his show of negativity. Quote
dpberr Posted February 3 Posted February 3 (edited) "The Bills WR corps is widely considered a Top 5 unit in the AFC." "In the "almost got there" metric, the Bills defense ranks 1st in the league." Bills are free to do what they want with the broadcast but I did not realize there were that many sensitive middle-aged executives at One Bills Drive. Local radio crapping on you is part of the "experience." Edited February 3 by dpberr 1 1 Quote

May Day 10 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 So I assume that WGR will go on to broadcast nationally syndicated shows from noon to 3. Quote

If they had any guts they would hire some talented people locally to fill that spot. I can’t imagine they have the revenue for it however. 1 Quote

All you need is a computer, webcam and internet. 1 Quote

I go to the Bills' website maybe 0.2 times per year and that will not increase to listen to one bills live One Bills Live is on Spotify anyway. That's where I listen the rare times that I do. The only time I listen to WGR is for the post game shows, and I usually listen to recordings of those afterward on Audacy anyway, not live. So, this impacts me 0%. Quote
Carbonpoke Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Was this an expiring contract that wasn't renewed I can see the Bills making a hell of a lot more revenue doing this themselves tho. The Bills brand recognition is as high as its ever been 1 Quote

And if you haven't heard some of WBNY's sports talkers, YOU are in for an experience. 2 Quote
