Bills ditch WGR as flagship station

Being out of two , I listened to the morning shows.  Brown and Tasker was painful, as they work for the Bills. The afternoon show is a joke.  I actually liked that the morning guys weren’t just homers.

 

Maybe the Bills don’t seem to understand that makes them being an avenue to listen.  No one wants a 24 hr. Show.  No one and I mean no one will listen.  If anything, it might be more interesting to listen.

You write a really good post game thread, as does Shaw 66.  You should sign on for a post game show, the day after games.  Your commentary as an op ed piece is far above the lunkheads calling in to complain after a loss.  Your reflections after a game are always well thought out, win or lose.

I will say this the afternoon show has passed its time and if it goes oh well.

 

They use to be a decent listen even with Schopp being a pompous a** but these days its run its course and nothing of substance comes from it. It also is gambling 24/7

Shtupp and Bulldog can now resort to day drinking.  Will fit in well with Ross Tucker.  He always sounds like he has a snootful when he talks with Parker.

I hope not. I dislike his on air attitude, just rubs me the wrong way. 

This move is no different for GR than it was when Wben took over the broadcast rights for a few years in the 80's n 90's.

Chuck Dickerson had a field day with his show of negativity.

Bills are free to do what they want with the broadcast but I did not realize there were that many sensitive middle-aged executives at One Bills Drive.

 

Local radio crapping on you is part of the "experience."

Doesn't even have to be local people.  These guys do the shows remotely all the time now that it can be produced anywhere.  All you need is a computer, webcam and internet.

One Bills Live is on Spotify anyway. That's where I listen the rare times that I do. The only time I listen to WGR is for the post game shows, and I usually listen to recordings of those afterward on Audacy anyway, not live.

 

So, this impacts me 0%.

I can see the Bills making a hell of a lot more revenue doing this themselves tho.  The Bills brand recognition is as high as its ever been

Game show format:  Journalism students from Buffalo State volunteer for free to host shows.  Think 'America's Got Talent', but for sports talk.

And if you haven't heard some of WBNY's sports talkers, YOU are in for an experience.

I wonder if Bulldog's son who is painful to listen to on air and Schopp's nephew (who is actually decently professional) will get shows now.
