Haven't heard him, but I seemed to often hear some guy from south Florida when I was commuting for early morning dialysis in 2023-24. Seemed like he was the first caller every Friday morning. Quote

I've checked out Timmah's podcast "TGAF." If that's any indication of his WGR show, I'll pass. 1 Quote

Yep, I've said "Alexa, stream wgr five fifty" a number of times right after games to catch the press conferences. Quote

I take the addition of the FM signal to be in preparation for landing the Bills games. FM would fit the Bills desire to expand coverage. AM has wider coverage, but FM would pull in people who are not using the AM signal. Quote
US Egg Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Now I get the genesis of so many threads in here. Woke up earlier than normal, wife had an 8:30 appt. Did something I never do because I didn’t have to do happy morning talk. I put on WGR. OMG!…..Yeah, things make a lot more sense about the m.o. in here. Looking forward to happy morning talk tomorrow. 1 1 Quote
Back2Buff Posted February 20 Posted February 20 WGR needs to do something with Jeremey White out so much. The solution can't be to have one host just ramble on and on for 3 hours. It's just a terrible listen. Then you have the same callers over and over again calling in to complain about an Olympic tradition. This is the introduction to FM radio?? 1 Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Is the FM feed stereo? I can hear the hosts on left channel, and Gina from Delaware carping on the right channel! 😁 Quote
Blank Stare Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Maybe it’s a radio requirement thing (or maybe one of the new FM stations is more popular than the other), but the OCD in me with respect to when they announce the new FM stations is driving me insane. “WGR AM 550 and now on 107.7 and 104.7 FM”. Makes no sense to me why they would switch the order of how they announce the FM stations (i.e., doesn’t it make more sense to list 104.7 before 107.7). Again, it also makes no sense why I care. It’s stupid that it bothers me, but it does. It really is true that people will complain about anything. 😝 1 Quote

loedward22 Posted February 20 Posted February 20 WGR is now also on iHeart… I think maybe as part of this FM deal Quote
Steptide Posted February 20 Posted February 20 For you Rochester folk, 95.7fm and 950am is now wgr(starting Monday). This is actually pretty sweet. I can't always pick up 550am here in Rochester. I know alot of people don't like wgr talk show hosts, but believe me, there's some terrible sports talk guys here in Rochester. Having wgr is pretty nice 1 Quote
