As far as the guy who brought up Sirius, it’s not $20 a month.  More like less than $8, and worth it.  The show I referenced is pretty unbiased and gives great analytics.  Sometime in favor of the Bills, and sometimes against.  It’s fair though their reporting doesn’t seem like they have a bias.

If you ever cancel a car sub they'll inundated you with offers til they are almost paying you to renew.  I switched to just having one premium sub on one car since I mostly listen on my phone anyway.  When I'm in another car I just play it through Android Auto from my phone

WAIT wait wait.....

ok so Beame goes on and rips into WGR hosts and most people are like "yeah those guys are hacks screw them"

Then they lose in the playoffs throwing to Cooks and Hardman. They Fire McD and a lot of the fan base was like "Yeah screw you Beane. YOUR the one who should have been fired the way you mishandle things and call out the local radio and its fan"

NOW we're back to "who do these clowns think they are going after Beane and the team. Serves them right".

we sure are a bunch of wishy washy fans. Whatever way the wind blows today.

no wonder people start threads asking "how am I supposed to feel about...."

Yeah, I do the same Steve.  I have auto CarPlay so why have ordered through my car when it just simply runs through my car anyway.  As far as the MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL etc.  it’s still there for live streaming and it is only $8.  It’s cheaper than running Peacock or prime on your tv.

Anyway, i don’t care as I don’t work for Sirius.  It’s just my selective interest in their format.  Besides, Audacy runs all of those podcasts like cover one, Joe Marino and others.  You just have to look for it and put up with the commercials.  Everyone has to pay bills.

As far as the morning WGR shows, they don’t bother me and can be funny at times.  I don’t take them too seriously.  It’s just drive time info between meetings and calls.

That sucks for me locally, great for out of town people.

Like being able to watch the game with WGR and little latency with over the air.  Streaming is going to be way off.

Why is this good for out of town people?

Couldn’t stream the games on WGR App previously.
Now they will be able to listen to the bills play by play on the bills website.

True. Enjoy watching on my over the air antenna on my tv though. Great picture!

That is not true.  The NFL controls streaming rights out of market, not the team.  You will not be able to stream games from the team website for free if you are out of market.  You will need to pay for their content just as you do today via Sirius, the NFL app, or any other licensed seller of NFL content.

Thanks, I guess I misunderstood the original text from the Bills on this.  Read it quickly at work…let’s just say it was a rough day!

They will produce and distribute the radio content. Not stream the games on the website.  Some radio station will have to purchase the rights to push that content over the radio waves.  Streaming on the website is their “one bills live” content.

Helps them control the content for sure.

Anyways, as far as Bills content, I’ve been really getting into podcasts since McD was fired. Joe Marino, Cover 1 and a few others. Much better than the content coming out of WGR.

I got my first satellite radio 25 years ago and it is the best purchase I ever made. Driving through the middle of nowhere and being able to listen to anything with zero static still amazes me.

As long as you are not in a city with tall buildings. Or driving in canyons.

I live 2 plus hours from a city so my signal is very reliable unless I am right next to a steep mountainside that blocks the signal.

Best quality picture there is.

Not in Syracuse.  The signals are so compressed, the picture quality is terrible, especially on the CBS affiliate. Streaming through Hulu gives a better picture but still not great, considering it’s a new OLED

Are these “kids” on your lawn right now?

I’m probably quite a bit younger than I came off in that statement lol that might even be what pisses me off more about them. Im a way down state die hard and listen to WGR year round on my phone. I gotta go outta my way to hear it….then it’s just these kids that don’t even know things that are beyond common knowledge. It’s sickening. Why are they there?

That sucks. I don't get many OTA channels (4), but the ones I do get are really nice.

I actually get a kick out of Owen Parker. Sounds a lot like his father and has the same inflection and pauses.  I do like his stories about when he played hockey and his insight into the Sabres.

The dude on night sounds like he listens to WGR all day and regurgitates what they said all day.

To repeat myself, the alternative being M-F, 10-3 of ESPN or CBS sports radio doesn’t thrill me.

You get generic sports coverage and the hot topic of the day but nothing of your local sports market.  I used to listen to sports radio in the Indianapolis market.  Brutal.   Kornheiser, Wilbon, Sports Babe etc.

I can’t even believe some of the stuff I hear on there. Especially from that night kid. I feel bad saying it be cages he probably is nice but he’s gotta be the son of the owner or something

Fun Fact: Did you guys know Bulldog’s son, Owen, played hockey for a semi pro team in New Mexico??? If you didn’t, just listen to WGR a couple days and you’ll know all about him. Instant credibility!!
