Unless they do become their affiliate, now no reason for any of the shows on WGR to even try to speak even a little nice about the Bills. 1 4 1 Quote
zow2 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 the article did say they could still broadcast games on WGR, they could be part of the radio network. 1 Quote

Augie Posted February 3 Posted February 3 You have to be lighting fast around here! So now when I fly to Buffalo and rent a car there will be a different station on the radio to avoid. 2 1 3 Quote
The Wiz Posted February 3 Posted February 3 (edited) Just saw that from buffalo bills. Looks like it's just OBL and Sabres Live. Not sure about game day broadcasts. Not sure how I'm going to live without Butch and Ryan from Toronto calling in everyday to say the same thing over and over. https://www.buffalobills.com/news/buffalo-bills-to-produce-and-distribute-radio-broadcasts-for-all-games-in-2026 2 minutes ago, Augie said: You have to be lighting fast around here! May Day 10 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Well, I know one show I will never hear again. Would never dig enough to find/listen. 3 2 1 Quote

LetsGoRed Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Sabres too? That sucks. I am out of state and listen on Audacy because listening through the team website rarely works for me. 3 1 2 Quote

Roundybout Posted February 3 Posted February 3 So wait, does this mean no more games on WGR, or does this just affect the One Bills Live show? The press release is not clear. Quote

US Egg Posted February 3 Posted February 3 The 6-10 and 3-6 shows are basically glorified amateur hours. Now they can go full on trash mode, which they seem to enjoy more. 5 4 Quote
davefan66 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 That sucks for me locally, great for out of town people. Like being able to watch the game with WGR and little latency with over the air. Streaming is going to be way off. 1 Quote
dave mcbride Posted February 3 Posted February 3 The great thing about this is that it is likely to reduce homerism and the temptation to propagandize🙄: 'The Buffalo Bills announced today that the team will produce and distribute radio broadcasts for preseason, regular season and playoff games starting in 2026. In addition, starting Monday, Feb. 9, One Bills Live will be distributed in-house. The traditional radio broadcast, currently on WGR-AM 550 and Rochester affiliate 950-AM The Fan, will transition to streaming exclusively on BuffaloBills.com and THE BILLS APP from 1-3 p.m. every weekday. One Bills Live will continue to be simulcast on MSG Western New York. "The delivery of media content has changed dramatically over the years. We believe the model of in-house production, distribution, and sales will better position the organization to provide access to our fans as well as allow us to further engage with the local business community," said Pete Guelli, Bills President of Business Operations.' 1 1 1 1 Quote

Sounds like just the shows, sabres live and OBL are moving to streaming on their own platforms. 1 Quote

I am mainly podcasting now off spotify.... but the radio I do listen to is WGR. I go to the Bills' website maybe 0.2 times per year and that will not increase to listen to one bills live 6 Quote
