Kirby Jackson Posted February 2 Posted February 2 (edited) Over the last few years, I’ve vowed that I won’t subject myself to the Super Bowl after the Bills break my heart. Every year, I’ve relented and watched. I think this is the year that I stand my ground. This Pats team is garbage. They stink. Watching them in this moment might finally be a bridge too far for me. Simple question, are you going to watch or not? Edited February 2 by Kirby Jackson 2 2 1 3 Quote
T.E. Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I skipped the one after 13 Seconds and never felt like I missed out, despite it being a close game. I think I'll probably check this one out though, as it's an interesting matchup and I have an obvious rooting interest. Quote
The Firebaugh Kid Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Yes. I will enjoy making money watching NE get embarrassed. 2 1 Quote
T master Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I feel that this superbowl is already over ! I don't believe there is any way that the Pats can win given their path to this game . Sure they have some good players & their coach is definitely a good one but their schedule was one of the weakest in the league which helped them along with the Bills help by not showing up in the first game or the Miami game to allow them to be the champs of the east . Then you put the half time show into the mix what is there to watch ? I may tune in at times to see the score but I feel that this will be like the game the Seahawks played against the 49ers & at the end the score will be very similar - 41 to 6 ish . If I'm wrong I'll be back after the game & be the first to say so but I don't believe the 2 best teams are in it 1 is the other not so much !! And after this year we will alll see just how good the Pats are because next season their schedule will prove how good they are & where they will finish !!! 2 1 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Any time I have missed a major championship, it feels like I have a gap in my memory. My friends joke with me about 2006– for some reason I missed every major championship game And it’s like the year never existed for me. 1 Quote
BillsPride12 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I'll watch mostly out of boredom and to see the Pats get their A** kicked. But definitely not going to any Super Bowl parties or anything like that. It's been awhile since the Super Bowl has felt like a big event for me personally. Quote
Amaru523 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I live in the Seattle area and my Wife is from here and a huge Hawks fan, so yes we'll be watching. I didn't watch last years though. 2 Quote
Jauronimo Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I did not watch a minute of the AFC or NFC Championship games. The past few years I have had the Super Bowl on but spent much of the night tending to chicken wings. I have a feeling this year will largely be spent sipping a beer and watching chicken fry. 1 2 Quote

Christ, he has coached for them in nine super bowls already. I also think the Pats' D is for real. Not saying they'll win, but the last thing I expect is a Seattle blowout. Quote

TheFunPolice Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I love football in general so I can't miss the Super Bowl! Go Seahawks! I hope for a 40-3 type game. 3 Quote

RyanC883 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Not sure. Matchup is blah. Hate the Pats**. Only going to watch if some people come over and it’s an excuse to hang out for a few hours. Quote
MJS Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I find it strange that there are football fans who don't watch the superbowl. 2 3 Quote
Success Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I think we say that Pats are bad because we can't stand them. But they're really not that bad. They played us pretty tough in both games. We thought the refs swayed the 1st one, but they thought the refs swayed the 2nd. And both were close games. Their D is really legit, and their offense is good enough. They're one of the more average teams to be in the SB in recent years, but they're still a decent enough team. Everyone agrees they had an easy road. I'll watch, but probably turn it off if I'm not having fun watching (so, if the Pats take more than a 1 score lead or something like that). 2 Quote
Gregg Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I just hope that if the Pats do win on Sunday the league doesn't schedule the Bills at Pats week 1 next year so the Bills don't have to be there for the banner raising ceremony on the first TNF game of the year. I do think there is a very good chance one of the Bills-Pats games is on primetime next season. Quote

ddaryl Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Haven't watched a superbowl in decades. 1st of all I hate the half time bull poop. can't stand the overzealous pageantry of the whole thing. 2nd of all the Bills aren't playing, which will probably be the next time I watch one. I'll catch a few plays while surfing by it but I really don't give a rats ass about the NFL outside of the Bills 2 1 Quote
