Luka Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Ed Oliver and two 1st rounders. Make it so Beane. I don't think many people here watched Brady's offense at LSU with Burrow, Jefferson and Chase. And we already know from the first few years Diggs was here what Josh is capable of with an elite talent on the outside. And we waste most of our 1st rounders anyways so why not get a sure thing? The goal isn't to win the draft it's to win a Super Bowl. 3 2 Quote
Big Blitz Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Just as big a story here is the best or 2nd best WR in the league is crediting our HC for his success. Pretty pretty good. 4 2 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted January 31 Posted January 31 I would love Jefferson. I don't think Minnesota is gonna move him though. I'd settle for Michael Pittman. Guy has that dawg in him. Quote

A 1 and 3/4 and huge cap relief for a rebuilding team ( who just whacked their GM before the draft) free falling 1 Quote

Not hard to imagine him flat out demanding Beane get a top WR 1 1 1 Quote

SoTier Posted January 31 Posted January 31 (edited) 1 hour ago, QLBillsFan said: He’s the best WR in the NFL who just spent a year playing with maybe the worst qb with little likelihood of improvement. And so the Bills parting with two 1’s is brilliant. He Brady and Allen would be beyond dynamic 👍 Jefferson got 1400 yards on 88 receptions in 2025 with McCarthy, Wentz, and Brosmer throwing the ball, frequently to the other team. If he didn't diva out this past season, he never will. I watched a lot of Minnesota games -- he was plainly frustrated because the QBs didn't look his way all that often for a WR1 of his quality, and when they did, they were frequently off target. Two firsts would be a steal. I'd be willing for the Bills to do some "Eagles style" capology to get him. He's in the same mold as JSN, Puka, and St Brown -- workmanlike non-divas -- but more talented. 1 hour ago, Governor said: Isn’t a new GM walking in the door tomorrow? The Vikings fired their GM this morning, but they won't be hiring a new GM until after the draft. The asst GM will run the draft. Reported on GMFB this morning. Jefferson probably makes a play to win that Kincaid and Cooks didn’t come down with the last couple of years in the playoffs. If Schwartz is running the defense, we are probably up a couple scores at that point and taking a knee. 2 1 1 Quote

Easily becomes the #1 Qb/Wr combo for the rest of Josh's prime. This is Moss to Brady level. Whomever you're hoping lands in our draft slot or we spend significant draft capital to move up for is a question mark no matter the hype (see generational prospect MHJ). This would be a dream come true. I think top first round WRs wind up disappointing if not outright busting almost as much as top first round QBs ... and the Bills aren't draft at the top of the first round unless they give up draft capital. 1 Quote

That being said, if pulled off a JJ trade.. I’m not complaining. I get the premise and agree to that... but this isnt the year for that strategy. Tyson doesn't do much for me and hurt too much, Tate is going to be an elite #2, Lemon is the best fit for us and my draft crush... but theres no way im passing on this type of opportunity to get Lemon. Just pay the $$ to finally lock down this position and trim the money from a position you can actually fill, and that were good at scouting 1 Quote
Bray Wyatt Posted January 31 Posted January 31 It would have to make sense for Minnesota to get cap relief. Is it possible to do a post June 1st trade prior? (Like they allow a cut to be designated that even though it happens before) I dont think its likely, but if it were to happen, all the guaranteed money stays with Minn. So as long as we could fit the cap hit in at the time of the trade, the contract is super flexible and could easily be restructured or extended and it would benefit us and JJ. It should at least be explored 1 1 Quote
