Nothing horrible, nothing great....right smack dab in middle of the pack. That’s all I want. All I want out of our ST is completely acceptable mediocrity. Just none of the colossal ST errors that this franchise is known for. 4 Quote

Bruffalo Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Seems like a reasonable hire. I hope we can figure out punt returns. I'd love to have a guy there who is actually a threat again. 1 Quote

You’d think he’d be amazing with his RAC and break tackle ability but nope. Just runs out of bounds as soon as he can Quote

He was basically the only WR who was consistent last season. 3 3 Quote

Kirby Jackson Posted January 30 Posted January 30 I think so much of ST is about the talent that you have. If you have Brandon Aubrey, your kicking game should be good. If you have Devin Hester, your return game will be good. I look at ST coach as a guy that can only screw it up. If your guys are in their lanes and don’t commit costly errors you’ll be fine. With Ray Davis back there, you may even bust one or 2. I know nothing about this guy but it seems fine. ST coach is of little concern to me. Maybe I’m an idiot but it’s kind of how I feel. Avoid mistakes is the job on ST. 2 1 Quote

Brady had his first NC interview two weeks ago so had plenty of time to think about who he'd want for staff. Did Brady also have a HC interview last year? They all have long lists ready to go with. And do they just say ‘here’s what we’re going to pay you’. Doesn’t seem like there’s much if any negotiation going on. There’s no doubt they have a list but as anyone that’s ever hired, or been hired, this still seems really fast. Quote

True but in spite of everything that was publicly stated that it only came together at the end, maybe by around Sunday Brady felt there was a real good chance he'd be the next HC so was already calling people?? Probably doesn't hurt either that at this point I'd guess more than half the coaching spots have been filled from the new HC hires. So if you phone rings, probably not too much to think about other than saying yes. Quote
