Sweats Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Is this from actual teams fans or just ticket sales?.........cause there was a lot of Bills fans in just about every one of those stadiums which would probably skew some numbers. 1 1 Quote

I think it’s only reported as paid attendance these days. Quote
Low Positive Posted January 28 Posted January 28 This has more to do with the size of stadium than anything else. 5 7 1 Quote
BillsDad51 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Would like to know how stadium capacity affected those numbers. For example, the Lions may have sold out every game but were near bottom in attendance. Quote
mushypeaches Posted January 28 Posted January 28 In this era, with the salary cap and huge TV and other market revenues, stadium attendance really doesn't mean much anymore. What I'd really love to see is what % of actual game attendees are from the home geographic area. With all tickets being electronic these days, I'm sure there's some way to get and publish this information Bills would likely be near the top in terms of % of sales to home fans at home as well as % of road fans in opposing stadiums Quote
CA OC Bills Fan Posted January 28 Posted January 28 27 minutes ago, Low Positive said: This has more to do with the size of stadium than anything else. I agree. Back in the early 90s before the seating was changed reducing capacity, the Bills had the highest attendance a few years in a row. Now it's not likely due to the capacity. Also, back then they counted people who went through the turnstiles as opposed to ticket sales. Boatdrinks pointed out above that they changed to ticket sales years ago. I remember one game against Miami where there were something like 9 unused tickets! One of my best friends (unfortunately a Dolphish fan) had two tickets he didn't sell or use. Quote

Billsfanatic8989 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Eagles total attendance is wrong. They had a crowd of 69,879 for each game. 69,879x8=559,032. 42 minutes ago, Low Positive said: This has more to do with the size of stadium than anything else. This. The Cowboys are always going to have the highest total attendance because they have more seats than everybody else. Quote

SoonerBillsFan Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Well that is going to go way down for us. Didn't 70k + sign the McDermott petition with many saying they are done? 1 Quote
Virgil Posted January 28 Posted January 28 With the new stadium holding 10k less fans per game, and one less home game next year, we should drop to the middle of the pack 1 1 Quote
Virgil Posted January 28 Posted January 28 1 hour ago, SCBills said: The Cowboys claim to have room for 20k standing room only fans. How do they track that for these totals. You don't need a ticket right? I would assume a turnstile, but if you can walk in and out, how do you know the same person isn't counted multiple times? I know the Pats fans are terrible, but I figured they would be higher due to their standing room only area as well Quote
