QB Bills Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Calling it now. The lack of vision. The lack of daring to dream big with possibly the most naturally gifted quarterback of all-time. I can see this going downhill very quickly. OJ's place atop this list is in jeopardy. I get that Josh had to give the okay on this hire, but this move reeks of Beane's lack of imagination. It feels like he wants to sneak in one super bowl where everything has to go right instead of trying to create a dynasty with a generational QB. He will use the ranks on offense and uses that as justification to keep it status quo, just as he did on the radio last year and just as some fans are doing on here now. But Allen going off-script is the secret sauce and that has nothing to do with coaching. And his out of structure play will regress the older he gets. 3 10 14 1 25 10 11 14 Quote

Blank Stare Posted January 27 Posted January 27 This is a guy who came from an organization comfortable with Ted Ginn as its WR1. We should’ve seen this coming. I’m upset with myself for believing they saw it too and sought better. 4 3 1 2 Quote

Chaos Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I would have thought it was the guy that murdered people in California. But I guess a head coaching decision you don't like is just as bad. 4 1 3 Quote
T.E. Posted January 27 Posted January 27 He would have to do something like trade Allen before he even gets close to Russ Brandon levels. 3 4 Quote

brianthomas Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I've said it earlier, but we could very easily be firing Brady & Beane a couple years from now. And possibly even lose Josh at that point, and where would we be then? McD was the one who established the culture, which has been the strength of this team. It hasn't been the playmakers, because there's been a lack of them. Its been the coaches squeezing every ounce of talent out of these guys, where they'd run thru a wall for us & Josh playing Superman. If roster building was the strength of our team, we wouldn't have had to bring on so many guys to fill in the gaps. I'm hoping for the best, but half expecting the worse i'm afraid lol. 1 Quote

skibum Posted January 27 Posted January 27 It's certainly possible, but let's hope you're wrong. 1 Quote
QB Bills Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 Russ Brandon was a creep and had the most punchable face. But he didn't torpedo the career of the best QB this team has ever seen the way Beane is in the midst of doing. 1 2 1 Quote

QB Bills Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 Just now, Spiderweb said: A lot anger was leveled against Lou Saban for walking out on Buffalo a few games into the 1976 season ... I only go back to the 90s Bills so I'll defer to the older generation, but I'm prefacing this by saying that the Bills could have and maybe should have been a dynasty if they could have surrounded the best qb in the league with better talent and coaching. Not even elite talent like the 90s Bills had. Because I feel Josh is that much better than any other qb in the league, just a top half roster could have gotten it done. 1 2 1 Quote

He nails this offseason and mostly nails from here on out... He will Be Revered. You dont think he hasn't heard all the Media and many fans are saying and have said? You don't think he isn't smart enough to go out and do what needs to be done to (without saying it out loud) put this all on Sean? He nails this offseason and see what happens as for as the perception of him 2 1 Quote
