Going back over the last 10 to 20 Super Bowls is there one team, the winners and the losers, who would lose to this Pats team??

I know I have an anti-Pats bias, but I truly can't think of a less deserving team to make it to the Super Bowl.....hope the Seahawks blow the doors off of their lousy team, their steroid using cheating coach, and their massage parlor "full-release" receiving owner.

I was just a kid when this season happened, so my memory could be spotty here, but I recall the 1994 Chargers being pretty underwhelming. Had zero chance to win the Super Bowl once they got there, unlike this Patriots team.

Vince Ferragamo led 1979 LA Rams. 9-7 regular season record, lost the Super Bowl 31-19.  By 1985 Ferragamo had returned from Canada and started the season with the Bills.

They are only -4 dogs against the Seahawks.. so based solely on Vegas they feel the Pats of ‘01 and Ghe Giants of the Pats undefeated season were light years worse because they were both -14 dogs…  I’d say they aren’t even close to the worst team ever.. seeing as they bet the 1st, 2nd, and 5th ranked D on their way to the SB.. first time in NFL History any team bet 3 top 5 ranked D to make the SB.. and outside of yesterday the O scored a minimum of 21 points on good Ds

Here's the thing.

Over the next 2 weeks the media and fans will play right into the Patriots hands. Seattle will be talked about like all they have to do is show up. And Vrabel while being an idiot... ain't no dummy.

They will play up the "Us against the world" angle. The "disrespect" the doubters and turn it into an unlikely Super Bowl win. They haven't lost a game on the road and they are embracing "being the villains".

They may very well be the worst team to win the Super Bowl...but it would be another Super Bowl nonetheless.

Pats will win because the worst possible fate for Bills fans always happens.

The first six picks taken in the 2018 draft contradict this statement.

(And, for the record, Seattle is winning this game. Handily.)

That's a fun stat for Patriot fans to point to and it's an honest rough string of defenses.

But the reality is in those games they also played a Charger team with no OTs, CJ Stroud with no clue, and Jarrett Stidham with no chance.

I will give them credit as they still executed, they still got the wins...and that's what matters in the playoffs. But unless Sam Darnold gets kidnapped and JSN gets deported to Ireland, I don't see how they win this game. Of course with the dumb luck they have had this year...those things may both happen. 🤷🏼‍♂️

1985 Pats

1994 Chargers

2003 Delhomme led Panthers

2000 Kerry Collins led Giants

2007 Rex Grossman led Bears

1996 Neil O'Donell led Steelers

These all come to mind

I wouldn't say that.  I think they're a pretty mid team - but that defense really is no joke.  They have played well all year, even though they didn't face the toughest competition.

And the offense has enough to put up points when they need to.

I hate that they had such an easy road, but I don't think that = weakest playoff team ever or anything like that.

It’s not a good idea to take this Pats defense lightly.

It’s very elite when fully healthy which it is.  They spent over 200 million on it.  And hit on draft picks.  And they are extremely well coached.

Yes they benefited from a pathetic schedule but they still win 9-11 games if it’s a tougher one.

This is Vrabel vs Kubiak.

I’m sure we’ll all be fine if Kubiak - who many are adamant we wait on to hire - has his lunch handed to him.
