GoBills808 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 little less so than before this hire but still more than before they fired mcdermott Quote
Sweats Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 Alright, the news is a little alarming, but let's give him a chance?!?............yeah, i got nothing here. 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I had said up thread that it depends on the HC hire. My initial reaction is that this is like if in the movie Shawshank Redemption, if they dug the tunnel and trudged through everything and ended up in the tank at a waste management plant Initially, things look bleak. But let's see if Brady can go find the showers, clean up and get things rolling. His DC hire is now the most important hire in team history. 1 Quote

slaphappy Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Not sure.. who is the local salary cap expert? I need someone to explain to me like I am 13 where we stand. How much roster realigning can we actually do? Quote

SirAndrew Posted January 28 Posted January 28 No…It worries me that we have a regime who doesn’t value the wide receiver position. This is legitimately my biggest concern, especially after watching JSN with the Seahawks last week. Quote

Schedules tend to turn out different than they look in the off season but it's hard to think that that's going to change that much. 1 1 Quote
billsfan89 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Somewhat, the team still has Josh and a solid talent base. Brady as HC is a meh hire to me but one that I think can work out. With a new DC and defensive scheme the team can in theory get over the hump. The confidence in the Bills future lay with do you think Pegula sees what’s going on behind the scenes and made the correct call on firing McD and keeping Beane in place? If Beane really is a good GM making the right calls more often than McD but was hamstrung on some personnel decisions then the Bills have a chance to really get over the hump. It really just comes down to that Quote

The last team to win a Super Bowl, the Philadelphia Eagles have 10. Yeah, but how many players do they have in the top 200? The Bills aren’t a very top heavy team. They are mostly solid with solid depth all around. Not too many impact players, but lots of good ones. Quote

Your post is fine by me; however, the one thing that really gets my goat is hearing how we have all this depth and yet it is always hearing about injuries, and we never have sufficient talent to substitute or back any of it up. It's always the injury excuse every year, so where's the depth? 1 Quote

Both huge strengths for the Bills. 2 Quote
Got 2 Billieve Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Ugghh.....The schedule for the 2026 season is absolutely brutal! Have to travel to Vegas, LA, Houston, Denver, Minnesota, Green Bay etc.. We have more away games than home games and we will probably get a lot of night primetime games (as usual) and perhaps even holiday & overseas games. This is going to be a tall task just to make playoffs. F****ck!!! Quote
Pete Posted January 29 Posted January 29 I was holding out on answering this until the Bills made moves. Hiring Joe Brady triggers 🤮. IMO Beane and Brady should have gotten fired. Terry forced the issue, and made Beane GM, which I have been coping with, trying to put a positive spin on it. Ok what’s done is done- perhaps Beane will fix the passing game. The best description I have read here is that hiring Brady is like pooping your pants, and only changing your shirt. Terrys message was that he saw a devastated locker room, and he wanted to change that. And he brings back the same band. “We didnt look good at passing, because we didn’t need to pass. If we had to, we would be good at it” = loser excuse words. It’s a shame we are running back the same ***** to the new stadium. We still have Josh Allen, so there is always a chance. And Josh will continue to hide glaring roster issues. Go Bills! Thank goodness for the Sabres! Sabres are a wagon! Sabres arrow is pointing straight up. Take notice Beane Quote
