I'll likely get downvoted and vomited to oblivion here - but jealousy & hate really do eat away at you if you allow it.  These are poisonous, ultimately.

The way I look at that fanbase compared to ours:  they won the lottery of sports.  They had the best near-2 decade experience any fanbase can have, and here they are, back in the SB before Allen even gets there.  And be prepared: they absolutely could win the Super Bowl.

When someone wins the lottery in life - are you consumed by jealousy?  Do you hate them?  I don't - I like reading & seeing stories about that. I like it when people are happy, even though my lot might not have improved.

We may or may not get there eventually - I think we will. But sports is like life - it's not "fair," no one "deserves" anything.  We all wish those fans were maybe a bit more gracious, but that's their nature.

Congrats to the Pats.  I'm ready for the vomit emojis.

It's actually like someone winning the lottery that you know and who is antagonistic to you and has kept you from success for years.

Well said.

Personally? I couldn’t care less. Our boys aren’t in it. If they win, like you said @Success congrats/good for them.

My only problem is the carousel of narratives that will be spun as though they did some magic to get to the SB. Literally every single team they played handed them a win in some fashion. You play who you play but man, the Chargers/Texans/Broncos hardly made it a slug fest to get there.

A wolf is a wolf, don't be upset when a wolf wants to eat.. New England is an organization full of wolves, a wolf is going to do what a wolf is going to do.

In Buffalo, it was supposed to be that everyone eats, but outside of Josh Allen, nobody was hungry.

Hey, now - I am by no means ROOTING for them.

I'm trying to set a good example for them.  I'm not going to be a sore loser. They shouldn't be what they have been for a quarter of a century - sore winners.

By "winning the lottery" do you mean the favor of the officiating/league? Even with the Broncos starting QB on the shelf they needed a 4th and 1 league assist on the winning FG.

I don't feel that jealous. I don't care about the Pats that much. It would hurt more if we still had McDermott.

But I'm actually more and more excited about next season.

Most people here said Pegula would never make a change, etc, etc. But he did!

We finally have a chance to complement Josh with an attacking defense. Let's go!

That’s what they’re counting on.  They make money of people watching to hate.  Pats dynasty, Floyd Mayweather etc etc

Pats had the easiest path in history to the Super Bowl. Their first challenge will be vs Rams or Seahawks and they WILL LOSE and it WILL BE GLORIOUS

I'd really caution against this POV.

I'd say it's about 75% that they don't stand a chance. But someone fumbles a kickoff, or the NFC QB throws a pick 6, refs make a few calls - anything can happen in a SB.  The Pats could win.

The opposing QB breaks his ankle on the second to last offensive play of the game...

I am only annoyed at allowing myself to waste time arguing with people about the importance of culture, process and continuity, only to see a the possibilty that two first year head coaches might be in the super bowl this year.  My own damn fault.

This is the silver lining.  I'm slightly optimistic for next season, but  It could of course also be the beginning of a complete organizational implosion sending us back to another 25+ year drought era and Josh Allen leaving for another team.    Beane knows the spotlight is magnified on him going into the offseason for personnel changes so hopefully he wont fumble the opportunity like other years.

I also look forward to our new coach not having us run a bubble screen every 4 plays next season.
