Walking Tall Posted January 24 Posted January 24 (edited) Simple question. Though Kubiak and Webb haven’t been mentioned they are assumed. Edited January 24 by Walking Tall 1 1 1 Quote
Wizard Posted January 24 Posted January 24 The problem is that the Bills needed to move on from McDermott, but they don't have a clear cut comparable or better replacement. 🤕 I like Kubiak. If we get him though, we need a veteran DC like Schwartz, Flores, Weaver, or Morris. 8 Quote

Since1981 Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I didn’t see McDermott as a choice. lol. But seriously that would be nifty to see how this board reacts 1 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I don't think our next HC has been interviewed yet. I think he will come from tomorrow's Rams/Seahawks game. While Kubiak is being linked to the Raiders and Shula is being linked to the Steelers, I think both take an interview with the Bills before taking a job. I think whatever team loses tomorrow will have a guy the Bills focus on and eventually land. 3 Quote
US Egg Posted January 24 Posted January 24 The Kubiak lineage appeals, but how many success stories are there given that dynamic. I don’t feel like doing the homework. Quote
True Blue Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I’m swinging for the fences and all in on Grant Udinski. The man is a mad genius. 2 Quote

May Day 10 Posted January 24 Posted January 24 (edited) Im kubiak or udinski at this point followed by McDaniel. Higher ceiling going with an innovative offensive guy. Make Webb the OC running the HC wishes on offense and hit it out of the park with the DC. Morris or Schwartz Edited January 24 by May Day 10 3 1 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted January 24 Posted January 24 @Walking Tall is it who do we want or who do we expect? Quote

Seems that it’s the first name they heard and they’re sticking with it. Edited January 24 by Einstein 1 1 Quote

Success Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I voted Kubiak. But the wild, hail mary feel of hiring Rivers is growing in appeal for me. 1 1 Quote
zow2 Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I think at the end of the day the Bills moved on from McD too late. Should have been after the 13 sec game. They may have been due for a slight regression anyway next season and the new coach will probably take that hit now.. 3 3 Quote

I ended up voting Udinski but that’s because it’s my biggest payout on my bets. 🤣🤣 Edited January 24 by Kirby Jackson 2 Quote
sven233 Posted January 24 Posted January 24 (edited) I don't necessarily have a favorite right now. What I can say is the more that I think about it, I hope we take a big swing on one of the whiz kids out there. I think having Allen at QB gives you a floor of 10 wins. Now, is that enough to get in the Playoffs? Maybe, maybe not. But what I hope is that by swinging big, you knock it out of the park and we get our own Sean McVay of sorts. It's probably a long shot, and I do think the odds are against you when you do it, but you never know and the only way you get one of those guys is by taking a huge risk to hire someone that may not look quite ready on paper, but they turn out to be everything you hoped for in the end. So yeah.....I'm swinging for the fences with someone like Udinski, Kubiac, or even Webb. Find the one you like best and Let's Play the Feud! Regardless of which one you choose, though, probably just as important as that hire will be who we get at DC. Gotta nail that part of this so he can run that side of the ball and let the HC, whoever the HC ends up being, focus more on the offense. Edited January 24 by sven233 3 Quote
