Everyone has a pre-conceived notion that to become a successful HC in the NFL a person requires years of coaching experience. It's simply not true. Ryan Fitzpatrick knows NFL offenses and Defenses. Excellent leadership abilities. Checks all the boxes. Fitzpatrick would become the most intelligent HC coach that has ever coached in the history of the sport IMO. If Buffalo is interviewing Philip Rivers then they need to add Ryan Fitzpatrick to the list in my humble opinion. Chan Gailey is the same age as Pete Carol. Provide examples of coaches in the NFL with zero experience who have either been hired or had success. Fitz was also the smartest qb in the league and was an average qb. 1 Quote

paulmm3 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 I really like Ryan Fitzpatrick as a person and loved him as a Bill for the effort and the heart. He'd do anything to win, kind of like Josh. But despite him being a smart human being globally I always thought his ability to process the game quickly and make reads and fast decisions at the line of scrimmage was among his weakest attributes. I always referred to him as very high real IQ, kind of mediocre football IQ. 1 Quote
