gonzo1105 Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Hey, don't we all love a good mock draft. I usually would wait to post this a little later but I've been working really hard on this for quite awhile and outside of the last 4 picks not being exactly determined I feel its the right time this year. Usually I would wait another week or so before releasing this but with the Conference Championship games on Sunday, the Bills coaching search probably going into overdrive starting on Monday, I'm sure that will take much of the attention away from @GunnerBill and I's draft mocks a little more than usual. Please remember that @GunnerBill and I will be doing our 1st episode in a 4 part series detailing this years NFL draft prospect, team needs, and of course our Buffalo Bills. Please be on the look out for that and take a listen. We plan on doing episode 1 on January 27th and will be available to the board shortly there after. As always feel free to flame away on your hatred of my picks as things will obviously change after free agency, the combine, and frankly who the Bills hire as it might change some schemes. Without further ado my 2 round Version 1 mock draft (No Trades) 1st Round Mock Draft: 1. Las Vegas Raiders- Fernando Mendoza QB Indiana - Raiders are definitely going Quarterback its just whether they will go with Mendoza or Dante Moore. I believe that Moore has longer term upside than Mendoza but I believe that the Raiders, and Tom Brady, will fall in love with Mendoza in the pre draft process and I expect him to be the first overall pick. 2. New York Jets- David Bailey DE Texas Tech - I really want to put Caleb Downs here because he is the best player in the draft in my opinion but him being a safety makes him way less likely. I think the Jets would love to trade down but who the hell is going to trade up into this selection? Instead the Jets take David Bailey. Bailey is a 6'4 250 pound edge who can get after the passer with incredibly long arms. Reuben Bain will be considered as well but he wont meet measurables and Arvell Reese is kind of a tweener. 3. Arizona Cardinals- Francis Mauigoa OT Miami - The Cardinals need help all over their offensive line and they go with Mauigoa who has good NFL size for Tackle but there are questions about his arm length. Regardless if Mauigoa can't be a RT in the NFL he should be a pro bowl caliber Guard at the next level which the Cardinals also need. The Cardinals also need massive help on their defense as well and need a future franchise Quarterback as well. 4. Tennessee Titans- Carnell Tate WR Ohio State - This could go different now that Robert Saleh is the Head Coach but this team needs to get offensive help for Cam Ward if they want to be successful. Tate is a sure handed savvy WR who compares very much to former teammate Emeka Egbuka but that should show you how weak the top of this draft is that Egbuka went 19 last year and Tate is going # 4. 5. New York Giants- Caleb Downs S Ohio State - Another team that needs more playmakers for their future Quarterback but the best WR got sniped right before them that they wanted. Instead John Harbaugh and staff takes the best player in the draft and Harbaugh gets his future "Kyle Hamilton" even thought they are slightly different players. 6. Cleveland Browns- Spencer Fano OT Utah - The Browns used to have an incredibly strong offensive line once upon a time but that is long gone. Fano is a mauler in the run game at RT which is what the Browns wants to do as an offense right now to help whomever their QB is. Fano will have to improve as a pass protector but has all the tools to become very good in that regard as well. 7. Washington Commanders- Reuben Bain DE Miami - Bain only slips because he is short and stocky with short arms. There will be a lot of questions on whether his game will transition to the next level. Dan Quinn strikes me as the type of guy who would fall in love with a guy like Bain. The Commanders need high level playmakers all over their defense and they start here with Bain. 8. New Orleans Saints- Arvell Reese LB Ohio State - Is Reese a LB...Is he and Edge. If you listened to me last year this sound remarkably similar to Jalon Walker last year. At this point last year Walker was being talked about as a top 5 pick and slipped all the way down to 15. I feel Reese is in the same boat but is in a weaker draft so he will go higher. I think Reese is a better pass rusher than he is traditional LB at this time and the Saints will have to decide how to use him. 9. Kansas City Chiefs- Jeremiyah Love RB Notre Dame - I have Downs as my # 1 prospect and I have Love as my # 2 prospect in this draft. Love would provide a dynamic 3 down back to take some pressure off of Patrick Mahomes and that anemic passing attack. The Chiefs do need help on defense as they are aging out and their weapons need work as well but Love is too good to pass up here. 10. Cincinnati Bengals- Peter Woods DT Clemson - I actually think this is high for Woods but I can't see them going back to back Edge picks even if Stewart was a big bust. Instead they go to the interior with Woods who was underwhelming in his last season but is an athletic freak of a football player on the inside and can be an absolute dominant player if he puts his mind to it. 11. Miami Dolphins- Mansoor Delane CB LSU - I have Delane slightly edging out McCoy for a couple of different reasons. First he played this season while McCoy tore his ACL. I also believe that Delane is more of a complete CB when it comes to different schemes. I could argue that McCoy is a better man cover CB but not by a significant margin over DeLane. Delane is a way better zone CB than McCoy is though which is what makes the difference here. The Dolphins secondary needs all kinds of help. 12. Dallas Cowboys- Kedrick Faulk DE Auburn - Sonny Styles has been a really popular pick here but the Cowboys decide to go with Faulk here who is a massive base defensive end who I profile as a better run defender than pass rusher but he does have juice and can reduce down on passing downs if necessary which gives him additional versatility. A very similar player to last years # 11 pick Mykel Williams. 13. Los Angeles Rams- Jermod McCoy CB Tennessee McCoy goes two picks after the Dolphins select Delane. The good news is the Rams are a very man heavy football team and that fits McCoy to a tee. If it wasn't for his injury in this week draft he very well could have been a top 10 pick in this weak draft. 14. Baltimore Ravens- Jordyn Tyson WR Arizona State Tyson falls to the Ravens at the 14th pick and the Ravens rush to swoop him up. The big bodied WR would be a great fit next to Zay Flowers in that offense to help Lamar Jackson out. Tyson has all the ability in the world but also does have a lot of concerns. The Ravens are also known for just going straight BPA and in this case Tyson is that guy most likely. 15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Sonny Styles LB Ohio State The Buccaneers need a lot of help on their defense and they need to finally find a replacement for Lavonte David and they finally do here. Styles blends perfect Linebacker size with plus athleticism and would be a perfect fit for the Buccaneers system. 16. New York Jets- Ty Simpson QB Alabama The 2nd Quarterback comes off the board at pick # 16. I don't think this is a guarantee that the Jets go here as they could use any of their high picks to get a veteran Quarterback but if they don't, Simpson would be the next logical selection. What is the point of getting a WR when you have no one to throw them the football. If they do trade for a veteran then the Jets could pivot back to the WR position here. 17. Detroit Lions- Ahkeem Mesidor DE Miami Mesidor is probably the player who's stock has gone rocket boosters with the playoffs and his last season. He is mostly a finished product but you can argue he was just as good as Bain was this year on the Miami Defensive Line. The Lions decide to go DE and get the other bookend squared away opposite of Hutchinson. 18. Minnesota Vikings- Aveion Terrell CB Clemson The younger brother of A.J. Terrell goes off the board here to the Vikings. They need help all over their secondary and they go with the family pedigree prospect here at 18. I will be honest when I say the Vikings have a tendency to go off the board a little bit when drafting so taking a secondary player appears to be the easy path but they very rarely take it. 19. Carolina Panthers- Kenyon Sadiq TE Oregon The Panthers continue to put playmakers around Bryce Young in an effort to make out his capabilities. Sadiq joins Tet, Coker, and a solid Running back core. Sadiq is a flex Tight End who is an explosive playmaker in the passing game. I wouldn't expect him to be a traditional Y at any point due to his size and his lack of blocking ability and will live as a slot player who you can also lineup in the backfield. 20. Dallas Cowboys- Brandon Cisse CB South Carolina Cowboys continue to stock their defense with the addition of Cisse. I mean can you possibly go wrong with a South Carolina Cornerback? Cisse is not a finished product and will need some work when he gets to the NFL but possesses plus size and athleticism and can become a lock down CB especially in man coverage. 21. Pittsburgh Steelers- Makai Lemon WR USC The two biggest glaring needs for the Steelers is the Quarterback position and the Wide Receiver position. With Simpson off the board, this make the Steelers decision very easy and they take Lemon who is a short but very compact Wide Receiver who can do a lot of damage with the ball in his hands. He is also a very good fit for Metcalf who works best down the football field. 22. Los Angeles Chargers- Vega Ioane OG Penn State Harbaugh wants to run the football, they have to protect Justin Herbert, and they have struggled to accomplish either. Ioane isn't a powerful guard but he is very good with hand placement and keeping defenders hands off of him. Ioane isn't a sexy pick but he should be a very good guard for a long time. 23. Philadelphia Eagles- Kadyn Proctor OT Alabama I am actually not a huge fan of Proctor as I am not into very large heavy footed offensive lineman but he does fit what Philadelphia wants to do. He has only played LT at Alabama so he will either have to move to the inside early in his career and he will eventually have to learn how to play RT which isn't as easy as you think it is. Regardless Proctor will fit in somewhere early in his Career. 24. Cleveland Browns- Denzel Boston WR Washington The Browns filled one of their needs on the offensive line with the first pick and need to fill the WR void with their second pick. The pick is between Boston and Concepcion and with the Browns already adding Isaiah Bond, Concepcion seems redundant so they go with the bigger WR in Boston to play the boundary with Jerry Jeudy. 25. Chicago Bears- Kayden McDonald DT Ohio State The Bears are a strong up and coming team but one of their major weaknesses was stopping the run and McDonald might be the best run stuffing defensive tackle in this draft. He does have some pass rush upside as well making him a viable 1st round pick as he showed great improvement in that area in his last year of school. 26. Buffalo Bills- Chris Brazzell WR Tennessee I went back and forth with this pick and decided to go with a big boom or bust pick in Chris Brazzell. Beane knows he needs to add to the WR room. He very well could do that in Free Agency and the trade market changing this pick but at this time its the big elephant in the room. If I've learned anything with Beane is when he is in control of a draft he wants to go with the biggest, fastest, strongest guy and thats what scouts love. He also knows he needs to add speed and Brazzell possesses it all. He has amazing size and speed profile and his hands are actually really really good. Tennessee WR's are always a risk. They are put on an island a ton and run limited route trees. He does run more types of routes than Jalin Hyatt did but still not a complete route runner. He can also get lazy when the ball isn't coming his way and he will have to get stronger and add a big of weight. He honestly very much reminds me of George Pickens for the good and the bad. Still the Bills are going to take a shot and if Keon Coleman went 33rd overall than Brazell should go higher than him in a weaker draft. 27. San Francisco 49ers- Caleb Lomu OT Utah I honestly feel like Lomu is going to go higher in the draft but I really didn't know where to put him. The 49ers finally find the Trent Williams replacement here and Lomu is one of the few true Left Tackles in this draft and the 49ers definitely need offensive line. Dont be surprised if they go WR here as well as they are set to release Aiyuk, Samuel and Jennings are also free agents. 28. Houston Texans- Emmanuel Pregnon OG Oregon The Texans have one of the worst offensive lines in football and Pregnon is currently listed as most peoples # 2 OG(he's not mine). Pregnon is more of a power guard in comparison to Ioane. They also have Ed Ingram as a free agent so Pregnon would slide right into the starting lineup. 29. Los Angeles Rams- Monroe Freeling OT Georgia The offensive line run continues with the Rams taking Freeling. The Rams have two very large needs both at CB and offensive line. They took McCoy early and now they take Freeling who has tremendous upside but is a very raw player who will need time to become a high level tackle in the NFL. The Rams have that amount of time to wait and bank on the upside. 30. Denver Broncos- C.J. Allen LB Georgia The Broncos have a big need at Linebacker and Allen falls into their lap at pick # 30. Both of the Broncos middle linebackers are free agents and Allen is a good down hill football player against the run. He will have to improve in his coverage skills but his value and upside is worth it at this selection. 31. New England Patriots- Cashius Howell DE Texas A&M Some draft prognosticators have Howell going as high as 15 and I just don't see that. First, Howells college production is great there is no denying that and he is a much better fit for the Patriots 3-4 than any 4-3 team. He is only 6'2 240 pounds which is extremely light and there are rumors that he has incredibly short arms like talking below the 10% of arm length. That alone would get him to drop but still the Patriots can take that risk here as a guy who can be a pass rush specialist. 32. Seattle Seahawks- Gennings Dunker OT/OG Iowa Everyone get your offensive lineman. The Super Bowl Champion Seahawks(at least in this mock), need more help on their offensive line and they take the versatile Dunker. Most project him to the inside much like I do as he is a great run blocker which should be to no one's surprise coming from Iowa. Dunker can be a Tackle but has questionable arm length and he will have to work on his play balance as he does like to duck his head and lean in the run game. 2nd Round 33. New York Jets- KC Concepcion WR Texas A&M Concepcion could be a first rounder and the Jets need to find additional weapons after selecting Simpson at 16 in this version of the draft 34. Arizona Cardinals- Romello Height DE Texas Tech Height is another guy that has amazing pass rush juice and that is something that the Cardinals sorely need on their defense. He is another guy though that is incredibly small for the position and arm length will be very important but the man on tape pops much like a lot of the Texas Tech defenders and he is the best available edge player left. 35. Tennessee Titans- Colton Hood CB Tennessee Titans stay local with their 2nd round pick in grabbing Colton Hood. Hood was the # 1 CB for Tennessee this year with McCoy being hurt and he capitalized and the Titans have a huge need at CB 36. Las Vegas Raiders- R Mason Thomas DE Oklahoma Raiders have all kinds of needs and the rumors of Maxx Crosby being traded wont stop either. Even if he stays they have a huge hole across from him and Thomas is a fringe first round talent. 37. New York Giants- Zachariah Branch WR USC The Giants decided to go Safety in the first round and pivot to take a WR here early in the 2nd round with Branch who will be an ideal replacement for Wan'dale Robinson who will likely go elsewhere in Free Agency. 38. Houston Texans- Eli Stowers TE Vanderbilt On the surface the Texans appear not to need a Tight End but Dalton Schultz is on the last year of his deal and Stowers is a complete Tight End that can help them both in the pass and run game. 39. Cleveland Browns- Dillon Thieneman S Oregon The Browns could go offensive line again and no one would blink but if they have one area of need on their defense it is in their safety group and Thieneman presents much better value here than any offensive lineman left on the board at this point. 40. Kansas City Chiefs- T.J. Parker DE Clemson Parker is a prospect that will be polarizing come draft time. He was great last season and has prototypical 4-3 size but this college season he fell off a cliff. He was lazy disinterested and looked like a shell of a player he was last year. 41. Cincinnati Bengals- Jake Golday LB Cincinnati Golday isn't being talked about a ton right now but he is a former Defensive end who turned into LB. He possesses all of the tools to be a dominant LB in this era of football but has average lateral quickness and hip stiffness. 42. New Orleans Saints- Jadarian Price RB Notre Dame The Saints need a future bell cow RB and Price is that kind of player. Since the Saints passed up Love in the 1st round for Reese, the Saints swoop in and grab Price here in the middle of the 2nd round. 43. Miami Dolphins- Max Klare TE Ohio State The Dolphins have a huge need at Tight End and Klare is another Tight End prospect that is more a traditional Y Tight End and the Dolphins literally have nothing at the position. 44. New York Jets- Caleb Banks DT Florida Banks is the type of player I can see skyrocketing in the predraft process. He's big and athletic with incredibly long arms. He missed the 2025 season but if he is developed properly he can be an All Pro type player. 45. Baltimore Ravens- L.T. Overton DE Alabama Baltimore needs help at the first and 3rd levels of their defense and Overton fits the Ravens system to a tee. He's a guy who's not flashy but can play all over their front and will take on blocks to free up their pass rushers and Linebackers. 46. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Zion Young DE Missouri The Bucs two biggest needs are LB and Edge and they fill both in the first two rounds. Young is perfect for a 4-3 and is a young prospect who has some character concerns but if he straightens out he could a great future player. 47. Indianapolis Colts- Christen Miller DT Georgia The Colts top priority is finding some help on the Defensive line as their either devoid or old at the position. Miller can be a solid rotational player in year one while taking in the starters role in year 2. 48. Atlanta Falcons- Elijah Surratt WR Indiana The Falcons have a need for more weapons and Surratt will fill the # 2 or 3 role early in his career. He's a savvy route runner who's athleticism is actually quite underrated. This will be even a bigger need if Pitts leaves for free agency. 49. Minnesota Vikings- Anthony Hill Jr. LB Texas The Vikings continue to revamp their defense by adding Anthony Hill who is a downhill athletic monster. The problem for him is he has an incredibly high missed tackle rate and its something Flores will have to clean up to make him reach his potential. 50. Detroit Lions- Brian Parker OG Duke Parker is another tackle that is projected to move inside for the NFL which is where the Lions need help on the offensive line. They already have a couple of guys that are young in there and Parker can add competition at Guard and could possibly be a future Center 51. Carolina Panthers- Dani Dennis Sutton DE Penn State Sutton is a sized Defensive end who I'm actually higher on than the consensus. He has kind of been overshadowed his whole career but he's been a good sized productive defensive end his whole career and is worthy of a selection higher than this in my opinion. 52. Green Bay Packers- Connor Lew OC Auburn The Packers biggest need is by far interior offensive line. They could lose 2 backup Offensive lineman in free agency and Jenkins could also be a cap casualty on their interior. In steps Lew, who if healthy should be the week 1 starting Center or Guard for the Packers in the 2026 season. 53. Pittsburgh Steelers- Keith Abney CB Arizona State Abney is a former track star who is still learning to play the game but his outstanding speed and ability to cover are two areas that every team is looking for in a cornerback. He is still a flawed player but the upside is tremendous for the Steelers are pick 53 54. Philadelphia Eagles- Malik Muhammad CB Texas Eagles fill another need as they find their boundary cornerback 2 across from Quinyon Mitchell. Last year they tried to add Darius Slay to the team unsuccessfully so its obvious the Eagles find this to be a need. 55. Los Angeles Chargers- Chris Bell WR Louisville Bell was once considered a first round pick but drops due to a torn ACL and he probably wont be ready by the beginning of the season. Still the Chargers are most likely losing Quinton Johnson in Free Agency and need a replacement. 56. Jacksonville Jaguars- Kamari Ramsay S USC Jags first pick goes to their secondary and they fill one of their biggest needs by adding Ramsay a better cover Safety than he is at coming down and tackling. It something he will have to improve if he wants to become a full time starter in the NFL 57. Chicago Bears- Emmanuel McNeil Warren S Toledo The run on defensive backs continues as the Bears tab the high upside Warren. Both of the Bears safeties are free agents and is honestly their biggest need outside of a run stuffing DT. 58. San Francisco 49ers- Germie Bernard WR Alabama The 49ers as earlier stated are losing Aiyuk,Samuel, and Jennings meaning they will have to replenish the WR group and they start here with the versatile Bernard 59. Houston Texans- Emmett Johnson RB Nebraska Yes the Texans have Woody Marks but they will likely be releasing Joe Mixon and Nick Chubb likely wont be back meaning at worst they need a compliment and at best they need an every down back. In comes Johnson who makes sense here at the end of round 2. 60. Buffalo Bills- Chris Johnson CB San Diego State While the Bills have bigger needs, Johnson presents excellent value at pick # 60. Johnson is a very technically sound Cornerback who is excellent in man coverage and zone coverage. If he was a Power 5 player and had a touch more speed he would probably go at the beginning of the 2nd round. He isn't the fastest CB but he is versatile and I believe he can play boundary CB and Nickel in the NFL. If you really want to I think he is so technically savvy that he can play FS in the NFL as well. The Bills have two starters in Benford and Hairston but they have a future need at Nickel and Safety and need boundary depth at CB as well. He would fill a lot of roles even in a depth position. 61. Los Angeles Rams- Trinidad Chambliss QB Mississippi In a very very weak draft class, Chambliss is probably the Quarterback # 3. The Rams can afford to use this draft pick on a QB as they had two draft picks in the first round. Chambliss exploded onto the scene and will get some time to sit behind Stafford before eventually taking control of the Rams. 62. Denver Broncos- Jake Slaughter OC Florida Slaughter is arguably this years best Center and the Broncos can use some help in this area. Slaughter is more of a pass protector than a run mauler but should be able to be a long term starter 63. New England Patriots- Ja'Kobi Lane WR USC The Patriots WR's have actually come along as the season has gone but Diggs is getting older, Kyle Williams is more of a deep threat guy and Lane can be their big possession WR who can get down the field a little bit. 64. Seattle Seahawks- Joshua Josephs DE Tennessee Josephs is another shorter smaller edge player that would fit nicely into their 3-4 defense. He is an explosive player who can be successful as a pass rusher but must keep OT's out of his chest plate. 2 6 13 Quote
Mike in Horseheads Posted January 24 Posted January 24 @gonzo1105 .... If Denzel Boston was there for the Bills would you have taken him instead? I only ask because I've seen ESPN and The Athletic slot him there 1 Quote

Great Job!!! I can't imagine the work you put in. Much appreciated. The only thing i question, wouldn't we be better off drafting a safety instead of a cb in the second round? With Benford, Hairston and White we seem pretty set there. 1 Quote

I only ask because I've seen ESPN and The Athletic slot him there Yea that’s a solid question, I’m actually not the biggest fan of Boston to be honest but is he a guy I can see the Bills picking, absolutely I can. I question Bostons separation skills and his lateral agility. I worry he’s going to be a contested catch only guy in the NFL and that worries me after they just spent a high pick on Coleman. Brazzell has his own warts and I will readily admit is boom or bust and Tennessee WRs do not have a great track record in the NFL under Heupel but Brazzell has run more of a route tree than the previous guys drafted, has an insatiable amount of upside and has been in more of a pro offense than other TN WRs. I just see George Pickens level talent in Brazzell. It’s a risk but it’s a scouts pick for sure. It will be on the new coaches to extract that out of him. I did consider Concepcion here as well but a little redundant for the Bills and I don’t think it’s a guarantee the Bills go WR at 26. I can see CJ Allen, Kayden McDonald if available or a guy like Caleb Banks even but I didn’t want to get chewed out on the first go round haha 1 1 2 Quote
NewEra Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Thanks for posting. Currently not enamored with Brazzell as I think he has a low floor. Would prefer to trade back and take a different WR. Brazzell could definitely serve a purpose early though. Just let him run deep and dig routes. I feel like it’s Boston or bust for me at WR in rd 1. Hopefully we can trade for a WR. I think I’d rather take CJ Allen. I’m not a fan of drafting an off ball LBs in rd 1, especially LBs that aren’t very good in coverage, but he real tough. He has speed and burst. He’s shown improvement in coverage and he doesn’t need to improve vs the run at all. Sign me up the the tackling machine enforcer with speed in the middle of our D. I don’t think Shaq will be back now that McD is gone, but I’d love to have him back. Milano probably gone. Bernard can’t be counted on imo. Dorian Williams also banged up a good amount. The way he runs around lowering his head, he may be Bernard 2.0 with the injuries. Our current LB situation is dire as they are all made of glass. wouldn’t like to see Tyson fall to the ravens or Howell to the pats 3 Quote

I don’t think there is a guarantee that White is back now that McDermott has been moved on from and Hairston to this point has shown he can’t stay healthy. If any fans should know that they need DB depth it’s Bills fans. We put Darnell Savage on the field for one play and TD, we saw Dane Jackson get toasted, we saw Kaiir Elam crap himself all in the playoffs. As for the Safety pick, just wasn’t good value at this spot. I really like Michael Taaffe but that might be a little rich for pick 60 in my opinion. Obviously I also considered Guard, and Chase Bisontis came close to being my pick there, Defensive End but a lot of the guys like Joseph’s aren’t a great fit for a 4-3 and of course LB and safety. Johnson honestly might not be there at that spot and I docked him because he isn’t the fastest guy in the draft but he’s just a good CB and I feel he can be very versatile. If not Johnson or Bisontis , I would consider someone like Trotter at LB 1 1 Quote

I know that Howell had a ton of college production but I am going to wait to see his measurables. His tape is awesome but there is a rumor out there that he can be in the bottom 10% of arm length in the history of edge defenders. I will totally admit that Brazzell has a low floor but man that ceiling too haha. I do think that the Bills are going to attack WR in FA and the trade market which obviously would make this pick null but until we know I’m putting one on the board haha. As for Allen I’m not against it, I don’t like drafting off ball LBs either. I do think that LB is usually one of those positions you can find in Free Agency that won’t crush your cap especially if they aren’t a 3-4 pass rush type. I do like some other LBs later in the draft. I actually really like Jake Golday who’s going 41, Lander Barton who I don’t know depending on how he runs could be 3-5th round, Jaishawn Barham, and and Keyshaun Elliott from Arizona State I think regardless of who ends up with this job or 4-3 or 3-4, the LB crew is going to look remarkably different next year as I agree that Milano and Thompson are probably gone, Bernard is a man without a spot besides maybe Will and I don’t think he’s fast enough there. Dorian Williams might actually be the best LB that fits scheme flex so I would expect him to stay. Taron Johnson has maybe a year left here 2 Quote

HappyDays Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I'm convinced Beane is going to use the 1st round pick to make a splash trade at WR, but if not Brazzell is definitely my favorite pick at that spot as of now. Fills basically everything we're missing at WR right now. Depending on who our DC is we may not see slot CB as that important of a position so I would go elsewhere with that 2nd round pick. Penn State FS Zakee Wheatley sticks out to me at that spot if he's still there. Him and Hairston and Bishop on the field together give you ridiculous speed/range in the secondary and gives us an excellent young foundation to build around on that side of the ball. 2 1 Quote

I have an indicative first on Golday and I can imagine Brandon Beane absolutely loving him. CJ Allen is in play for the Bills but I think Golday may well sneak into the back of round 1 and Buffalo is one of the teams that makes sense. 1 1 Quote

Buffalo716 Posted January 24 Posted January 24 5 hours ago, gonzo1105 said: Hey, don't we all love a good mock draft. I know how hard it is to breakdown a top 200 class 👍👍 I'll have my top 6 QB breakdown soon ... It's more of a developmental class but great effort with your 2 rounds 1 Quote

I’m sure he’s somebody Brady would have loved during this process anyways. As for the rest of the class, I know when I keep coming back to Drew Allar I’m in trouble lol 1 Quote

Trinidad chambliss at 5 ft 11 is probably the most interesting guy right now Edited January 24 by Buffalo716 Quote

LEBills Posted January 24 Posted January 24 It is a little too early for me to start looking at the draft this year. The playoff loss and coaching search has slowed me down but I will pick up once Senior Bowl and East/West start up. For the Bills, I prefer Happy Days idea of Beane using the first to make a trade for a star wideout. The only problem is I lm not sure there is much that makes sense right now unless the Cowboys are willing to tag and trade Pickens or maybe an Addison trade. If that isn’t in the cards, I don’t think our first will be a WR just because I think the better players will be gone by 26 as they are in your mock. Until we have a coach and free agency it is pretty hard to know where our roster needs are based on the coaches philosophy. But just based on the depth on the roster right now, LB, DE, WR, C, and Guard all seem to be where there is a lack of talent going into 2026. But who knows if we decide to a 3-4 or a zone blocking scheme that changes the calculus. Quote
