T master Posted January 23 Posted January 23 In my fantasy this was going to be the year ! The last season in the old stadium, Marv turning 100 yrs old, the last time the Bills won the AFL championship in 65 being the 60th year since that win how could it get any better to close out the old stadium and all the drought years that came with it . But this will be a new year, New Stadium, New HC & staff so who knows how it will play out maybe this will be the year ... 1 Quote
skibum Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Thought we had a shot, but it never really felt like “our year”. Too many fourth quarter miracles; that’s just not sustainable. Quote

Ultimately the coaching staff couldn't get it done with that advantage and that's why they're all gone. If this wasn't going to be our year, it never would be. Having the best QB in every matchup is not enough. While the coaching staff failed to get it done, they still lacked the enough playmakers to win. 1 Quote
Doc Brown Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I thought whoever won the Jags/Bills game would make the Super Bowl and lose so yes. Broncos and Pats were the weakest one and two seed in a long time. I did know that the only thing preventing them from making it would be shooting themselves in the foot with turnovers/penalties. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened. Quote

I can't wait til they make some decisions. 1 Quote
JoshAllin Posted January 23 Posted January 23 This was the only year it didn't feel like their year, the offense just felt off. The Jags game brought that past seasons feeling back, but the next game they reverted back... Quote
BRH Posted January 23 Posted January 23 The 1 seed was there for the taking. Given that, yes, I did think this was the best shot... so far. Quote
twoandfourteen Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Nope. This is a 2 to 3 win roster without the herculean quarterback. 1 Quote
The Jokeman Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) I thought the defense was playing better. I thought Josh and offense would return to the little turnovers. After beating the Jags with a bottled up Cook but still winning made me think it could be. Edited January 23 by The Jokeman Quote
BuffaloBillies Posted January 23 Posted January 23 No, Yes, then No again. When Hoecht showed what an impact he would be I started to believe. Once he went down to join Oliver, it was over. 1 1 Quote

transient Posted January 23 Posted January 23 There was a time coming down the stretch when the defense seemed like it might turn a corner and the offense seemed like it would just grind opposing defenses into the dirt and I thought I may have misjudged their chances, then they had problems with Shadeur Sanders… Quote

TNBills Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Would have been a great shot if not for all the injuries sustained. Even in the Denver game, we have 2 DBs go down and the next play are TD's. Quote

I still held hope that we'd turn it on in the post season, but that turned out exactly like the regular season.........we're not winning a SB like that. The 4 - 0 start was very deceiving and then it got ugly for a stretch. 1 Quote
nosejob Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Oh, just a quick trip down memory lane..Member when we had Donahoe, Russ and Whaley?....and all the Mularky that went on with them? Makes me kinda thankful to Sean and his tenure, but it's time. I'm guessing Terry and BB will make us better. Is there a draft thread started yet? 2 minutes ago, juno999 said: The 4 - 0 start was very deceiving and then it got ugly for a stretch. I do believe to some extent that all the struggle to get a W just may pay off in the future. Hopefully we have a core that has learned what it takes to win. Quote
