BritBill Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Bills currently don't have a head coach but are still better off at the head coach position than the Jets. 1 2 1 Quote
Gregg Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) They are a team to watch over these next two drafts. Five 1st round picks and 3 second round picks over the 2026/2027 drafts. They could F things up of course as the Jets are known to do but if they hit on these picks including finding the QB which will most likely be from the 2027 draft since everybody knows the Raiders are taking Mendoza at #1 this draft. I don't know if any other QB in this upcoming draft is worth using the #2 pick on. The Jets will have an opportunity to get good real fast depending on how they do in these drafts. H2o Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) They will not be able to lure anyone with pedigree because those coaches know how bad this situation can end up making them look. They will have to find some ambitious, overzealous youngster who has no idea what they are getting into, but enough pride to think they can turn it around. Edited January 23 by H2o 1 Quote

Yes we have Josh Allen but it just feels like a dumpster fire and depending on how things go, Bills may be sitting at the bottom of the division come May. Bills are not in a good spot right now You're getting carried away with your prediction. No way the Bills finish behind the Dolphins/Jets. From my long memory of coaching changes: the new HC will install a new playbook and that usually means some losses early in the season. The Bills will be 9-8 or 10-7 and second in the division. Quote

DisplacedBillsFan Posted January 23 Posted January 23 The Jets have had some very talented teams significantly underachieve due to poor coaching in recent years. Let’s not forget, that could now very well be us for the next 10 to 15 years. Quote

It’s the Jets. You have to at least let him get a qb and some players he wants in. I think Dan Campbell had a worse start as a head coach. Quote

But there was no improvement as the year went on, in fact they got worse and worse. They lost their last 4 games by 20+ points. Not even competitive. The Bills played their PS and blew them out Campbell and even Gailey showed improvement and buy in by the end of the year. The Bills took the Steelers to the wire that year and won a few big games at the end of the year, even mounting a big comeback. Nobody at the end of the year wanted to play Campbells lions. I would have fired him last year simply for how he handled an end of half situation in week 5. They were playing the Broncos in London, had the ball at midfield with a min left and he refused to call a play. The entire Jets offense stared at him and he had this smug smile on his face. They lost by 1. He was a joke last year, clearly overmatched for the job. Cut your losses and move on Quote

How many people suspected Seattle and New England could be the Super Bowl representatives? How many said KC, Baltimore and Cincy wouldn’t make the playoffs? 1 single offseason can make a big difference is my point. With the Bills current cap space, amount of FAs we will let walk, new coaching staff, system etc. it’s not that hard to believe if the Jets get a solid QB, fill a few other spots they can compete with whatever the Bills field, same with Miami. I mean Miami beat us bad this year. There needs to be a major overhaul but to sit here and think one offseason with the Jets and Dolphins can push them to a point to compete with the Bills just seeing our situation Quote
iccrewman112 Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I wonder if they reached out to McDermott and asked if he has interest, if so they could just fire Glenn. 1 Quote

Since1981 Posted January 24 Posted January 24 are there any Jets fans left? I’d have switched to Giants by now….that org is a cluster. Their last “quality” QB is in jail. Quote
