I for one am happy the owner has the courage to say that this is not good enough, and that we need to make a change to potentially win a Superbowl.

I am in this boat too. Regardless if we swing and miss, I'd rather take a chance for more and say we tried

While I wanted to move on from McDermott I don’t know if today was actually encouraging. I’m starting to think that Beane was actually blindsided by this and this was just Terry making a decision by himself after the game like he said. I would have been more encouraged if this was something that was brewing for a while and there was some thought and plan around it. I’m actually wondering today if Terry is actually ok and all there.

The Terry and Beane hate since the McD firing is wild and over the top IMHO.  And I loved the presser even though Terry doesn't have the same eloquence when speaking as Beane does, but Beane did a great job cleaning up what Terry was bluntly saying.

Yeah. Pegula didn't make money for his speaking ability. He really isn't a great verbal communicator, so a lot of what he says really is up to people to interpret.

But he's not satisfied with playoffs. And especially not satisfied with the way we always found creative ways to lose under Admiral Sean.

I can respect him taking a swing at improving in the playoffs. I just ask that whomever he hires doesn't get the same length leash.

I’m positive Pegula’s answers were to try and quell the abhorrent reactions people are having over the Beane retention and promotion.

Can’t fault him for that. Hopefully it turns out to work in favor for the team.

I'm hoping for the best, but I have no idea how anyone could feel confident about the direction of the franchise after that press conference. Both the GM and owner seemed completely out of their depth

T Pegs spoke the truth today. It’s about winning a superbowl. People were saying that as long as the Bills were making the playoffs and the $ was rolling in, he would be happy and not make any changes. Now we know that is not true. Couldn’t ask for a better owner. Go Bills 💪

My point is that moving on from McDermott was encouraging as much as I liked him

I like this take. I actually wasn’t really a fan of Terry Pegula until today. I know he wasn’t the best speaker, but I liked him being upfront and even if he wasn’t honest, it sounded sincere and he wants a Super Bowl for Buffalo, which is what I want and all of us want. and he obviously cares about Josh Allen so I’m on board. Let’s find us a great head coach.

Just wish someone else would say it for him at the next press conference. Cause that was cringey.

We just need this guy for his $ and commitments to Buffalo and winning a SB. If he shows up to a press conference in a diaper and reads “To Kill a Mockingbird” that doesn’t matter at all as long as he has someone qualified making actual football decisions. Today I’m relieved we at least have Beane to do the latter and Terry to do the former (non diaper stuff).

That is not what he said

"that was Brandon being a team player and taking advice of his coaching ataff who felt very strongly about the player"

he also said Coleman wasn't (even?) Beane's "next choice"

like the part where he said the Keon pick was all McD, for instance...

Saw that combine interview with the Bills Keon had. Brandon along with everyone else seemed to like his initial response to Joe Brady’s question. On top of loving the joke about “Tiger wish-he-could”.
“Controlled chaos” probably sold it for them also.

He might have been appeasing what the staff wanted but at the end of the day he signed off and agreed on the pick at the time when there was plenty of other alternatives at the position before they traded with KC and Carolina.

Thank you for making this thread. I love McDermott. I love also that Pegula isn’t afraid to go with his gut and behold. Might backfire but at least his mind is on winning a Super Bowl!

Well I didn't see one titled "The Negative Pegula Thread" so I just figured I would give my opinion since this is, you know, a forum for opinions. Sorry you don't agree
