Doesn't matter. Do all the polls, petitions, billboards etc. McDermott is gone and needed to be.

Referring to the poll; there's a reason the mean IQ hovers around 100 😁

I said it in another thread and I will repeat it til I'm blue in the face.

One thing people make the mistake of is not understanding what they don't know. And that's just it. We don't know. We don't know how much influence Sean had over picks, free agents, who to bring back and who to let go.

It's something almost everyone struggles with. I have tried to remember that myself. I mean, fair to say everyone has opinions or theories. But we don't and probably never will know.

One thing I do know is that there were 10 coaches fired this cycle. And in 9 cases there was very very small amounts of freak out, drama, stories about and rumor of the firing. I would estimate that all 9 other spots combined didn't have half the drama here. Why? My theory is that people know Bills fans are drama merchants and will retweet (is it re-x now) any small snippet of things they say.

Was it a good move or a bad one to keep Beane? Time will tell.

It’s fine. Beane is a quality sport’s executive, but he’s not a great talent evaluator. So this is what’s likely going to happen… Beane will be the overseer of football with two direct reports: new head coach and a new gm. Watch.

so everyone relax. Wait to see this out. In the end, it was time for McD to go. He ran his course. Josh needs a new coach, preferably an offensive minded coach to reach the apex. Everyone take a breath and see this out. Stop buying into the mass hysteria from the local and National media.

Well said.  Beane will slide right out of the gm role within a year.  McDermott had to go.

This post is this first sliver of hope I've had since Saturday.

Thanks.

According to Terry pegula bb had final say and full control of the draft

Of course Sean McDermott had influence (what coach doesn't )but the Buffalo Bills said Brandon Bean had control even years ago

Even if a change had to be made saying Sean McDermott was in total control of the roster doesn't fit in step with what the bills have said over the years

Do you think Sean McDermott got rid of jamarcus Ingram? Guy he was developing for years? For a guy that didn't want to come here... Or did BB think he could make slay reconsider

If Brandon Beane thought this was a SB roster, dang dude we are in big trouble.

So far the fans voted Beane to be fired instead.

This is sooo stupid why people are defending McDermott. He HAD to go. It was time! Who give an EFF that Beane got promoted?

The results are all that matters and that's McDermott's name written all over it.

I think the argument can be made that the Bills didn't fire enough people, but they certainly didn't fire the wrong one either.

Fairly certain I wrote the exact same words in one of the other seven threads on this topic. 😂

While this is indeed a lovely quote — in this case the fans up in arms are not necessarily wrong.

It also doesn’t ring in tune. Plenty of fans have been calling for McClappy’s dismissal for several years. Does that mean that this decision was wrong?

Can’t have it both ways.
