I will not be happy until he is relieved of all his domestic pets (and the undomestic ones as well)

This would be best for all involved parties.  They were no longer believers in his process either.  According to Sean, three of the four pets were his wife's decision anyways.

This is what leads me to belichick because who else could fit that. I know it’s not likely but doesn’t it also make sense in a lot of ways?

Would Pegula condone the rampant cheating the he requires to win?

I wish we could bump some threads after some of the KC playoff losses and look at the receipts of some that are complaining McDermott got the shaft.

Not even playoff loses... honestly got to the point where I was rooting for wins almost more so people wouldn't be screaming about firing McD vs wanting the bills to win... almost

To be fair, that was much less the case this year for some reason.

They had this ready to go. Just a question of whether they were gonna put it out after he got fired or died.

This video is a (*^*&%^$^#move by the organization.

McD and Beane both earned pink slips.

There was a palace coup and the slicker politician not only won and undeservedly kept his job. ***** he even got promoted.

Everyone knows this by now.

I sure as hell hope that Beane gets this new hire right and that man hires the right assistants. Then he gets it right in free agency and the draft, as it's now 100% on him.

I know several new stadium season ticket holders who are very, very concerned right now about the future of this franchise.

Not sure what that last paragraph is supposed to convey....you know people who are concerned?  But they are also STH?  Important why?

Maybe they did realize they F'd up and are trying to make amends? No idea.

I think it was more emotions were running high and I think people got in their feelings a bit too much yesterday IMHO

Damage control at this point.

They likely didn't anticipate the blowback from the fans. Which is ridiculous enough, considering how much heat Beane has been under this season.

Seriously worried about the future direction of this team.

is your assertion that they should’ve gotten the PR team on board prior to telling Sean so they could have a video ready?

Ha, they put out a nice video and people on social media still bash them.  Really a no win situation.  Just move it along and hire the best coach.  Let’s go!

Winning changes everything...

I can't help but feel patronized by some of the national takes rn. Like 'those loveable losers shouldn't have fired that nice man!'

As if it's our destiny to somehow just accept being not quite good enough. Um no ***** that we get to try to win SBs too just like the rest of you

FU#K!NG A THIS!!!!!

Yet you made this post three nights ago when talking about Josh crying.IMG_0847.thumb.jpeg.aab5750b55f993851a17c8cf6843d159.jpeg

What's your point? Beane is still here last time I checked.

No. My assertion is that if it takes your pr team 30+ hours to send a thank you tweet and then even longer for a 3 minute video message, then you should probably show those guys the door right behind McDermott. Or maybe the powers that be only instructed them to do so after fan blowback. But nah, it couldn't be that when dealing with a top notch classy professional like Brandon Beane.

call me crazy but maybe day 2 is better?

let it land. Let McDermott make a statement then roll from there

again, call me crazy but is it more endearing for McDermott to walk out cursing everyone and open his phone to a bills reel saying how much they love him… or do these guys maybe let the wound scab slightly first?

yall are acting like pegula pulled the Baltimore owners moves… what if the won? Fire him next week. Players have a say? Of course not they have no power.

this was pretty run of the mill. It wasn’t mutual. It wasn’t stepping away. He was fired from a job he wanted against his wishes by a longtime friend.

its going to be a little messy and parts of it simply aren’t going to feel good

I don’t think it was terribly inappropriate to give Sean the last word on day one, let day two have some fan centric sentiment be released and then get into the future on day three

Feels like they were coerced into this with how fan reaction has been, but perhaps you're right.

Seems like teams usually put some kind of tribute out right away but I've never paid close enough attention to notice.

Regardless, it doesn't seem like there's any love lost between Beane and McDermott.

I think it got ugly and that’s a shame.

I don’t think we have to have a knee jerk emotional reaction as if kids in a divorce without a choice

I’ll echo, I don’t think it’s heartless and terrible that Sean got a window to gather himself, put out a statement and to give that statement the  front page for a news cycle.

I could be wrong and maybe the whole front office had an “oh $&$?” moment today and is totally reactive but I think their approach has been well within the norm if albeit a little at an arms length.

we will see what the press conference holds but I think that’s the real place to judge this and not racing to make up my mind early.

The late tribute video is eerily Sabresesque.

hear me out - Goo Goo Dolls’ “Better Days” as the soundtrack… but… the Alvin & the Chipmunks version!

It isn't about the hype or tribute video or whatever. It is about them putting out a sloppy statement with spelling mistakes and then them not being willing to put out McDermott's statement on team channels and he had to get that to the fans through the media. After 9 years and all he has done he deserved better on both scores. Tribute video be damned.

For the record, mcdermott’s farewell had some grammar issues of its own.
