playoffs in houston blown lead - you omitted the TD that was taken away from the Bills.

hail murray that is on the players

first afc championship better team won.

13 seconds that is on McDermott

numerous weird regular season losses to bad teams please be specific. How about all the big regular season wins?

hurricane windstorm patriot loss Silly that you cite this as evidence on coaching.

Cincinatti at home playoff You mean the team collectively were emotionally spent over Hamlin?

last years afc championship where two refs were fired afterwards for screwing up spotting the ball?

this years loss Allen had a horrible game.  Not on the coach.

rookies never getting time their first and or second year that was dispelled (look it up)

Zack wilson signature game HUH?  The Jets ran the ball effectively.   It happens.

playing max hairston in meaningless blowout that opens the door for dane jackson blunder in Denver out of context.  They were short CBs.

I stay in the real world.  Blame him for everything if you want but try to be objective.  His Achilles Heel was his third down defense that failed regularly the past three seasons.  You can beat him up about that but stop giving the players a pass for their failures.

Fair enough,  in the real world he is a good coach that benefited from a great QB.  In the real world he would have been fired after 13 seconds, and in the real world,  he just isnt good enough for us to get to the superbowl with.

You're in the Nathan Peterman world of sunshine rainbows and unicorns? How can we get a invite?

Joking aside at some point there's just to many coincidences to ignore.

I feel bad he never got to do it for us, but he had plenty of time, but life can't be won in a soft zone. Unless your in Nathan Peterman's magical mystery world.

Players can be blamed for a lot, but coaching is supposed to make players play better. If we want to blame just the players, the refs, etc. Why even have a coach?

I was never a fan of the soft zone.  It is the modern version of the prevent defense.  I see this firing as reactionary with no successor in mind.  See the Titans.

If he was fired after the 13 seconds game I would agree with the move.  That was a bad ending.  No real answers to why it occurred.

This all makes sense the only problem is your owner said he fired him only because of the loss to the Broncos.. what you listed is what should have been said.

If you watch the presser, he actually said the opposite. Several times. He actually cited a few of the things off that list.

He did say being in the locker room made it clear and that's where he made the decision. But his patience was obviously worn down from constantly falling short in horrifying ways.

The thing with McDermott led teams is there's always an excuse...and it's never his fault to some.
