today's draft.  Despite the grade, I like it.  We get a day 1 DT and a very good rotational DT.  We get instant additions to the Edge in Howell, Crawford and Tucker.  The WR I believe is rated way too low.  While not "elite" in any specific trade, he is very good at all 3 levels.  There simply isn't anyone better at that juncture, and he profiles as a solid WR #2.  Moving on, we get a backup/potential FS starter who was a ball hawk at Maryland, OG depth, and a backup LB/special teamer in Red.

in no sane world is Concepcion a "B+", that's an A+ for Buffalo at 26.

I’m no fan of Howell, but at 65 that would be fine - unlikely though imho.  I think you are hyping Crawford and Tucker way too much - I don’t think they are “instant” anything except for mid-round prospects.

I like Concepcion but I don’t think he would be an “A+”.  He (and Boston and probably Cooper) are only first round candidates because it’s a pretty weak draft and they play a pretty premium position.  I’d be fine with any of those 3 WRs but recognize that they would have to be available late in round one in a weak draft that has maybe 14 or 15 “true” first rounders.

That’s the most exciting mock I’ve seen.  Yet, I can’t see Concepcion available at 56 and I think they’ll have to be mildly fortunate to fin Rodriguez at 62.  I’d be all about that if it happened.

I feel like the Hill in the late first stuff is just hype and will pass. Every year there are a couple of these guys that have been considered day 2 and suddenly become trendy day 1 mock picks in the final 3 or 4 weeks. Normally they settle back where they started. Ezeiraku (sp?) was that guy last year.

Cover 1 had a guy on touting Trotter ahead of Hill.  If you are looking for a guy to knock running backs down Trotter is probably your guy.  Hill in my mind has a little more swiss army knife to him.  More range, coverage, pass rush, and upside if he's in the right system.  Are you looking for Shane Conlan or Daryl Talley I guess is the question?  I think Trotter might have the recognition and mental polish but Hill has another gear and more upside all around the defense in coverage, rushing the passer, and stopping the run.  All that said I like both LB's and would be happy seeing either in a Bill's uniform.

Jordan Schultz on X: "The expectation among many NFL teams is that the 2026 draft will be one of the more trade-heavy drafts in recent memory, according to multiple league sources.
