Chaos Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Will there be a feeding frenzy as some have suggested to hire him? Or will only teams with a top 5 QB who are happy to just make the playoffs (maybe bengals fire Taylor and bring in McDermott) I am truly curious. 8 teams expressing interest will not surprise me. Zero teams expressing interest wont surprise me. 1 Quote
BillMafia716ix Posted January 19 Posted January 19 (edited) Pittsburgh or Cleveland. Teams with already strong defenses. He will get hired asap Edited January 19 by BillMafia716ix 6 4 Quote
cgang Posted January 19 Posted January 19 A perverse part of me thinks pegula might have went along with this decision because of all the open head coaching positions this year and might have figured that this is a year where McDermott will quickly land on his feet given these other opportunities. So if you are gonna fire the guy for not getting it done, do it this year. Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I like him in a situation that’s a mess. He is much better with a culture that needs to be built than as a guy to take them over the hump. Arizona? Raiders? Titans? 5 4 Quote

realtruelove Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Titans is a great opportunity. Young QB, new stadium. Great City. 1 3 Quote
BeastMaster Posted January 19 Posted January 19 (edited) Cleveland He can turn that culture around from being a disaster and he will have Myles Garrett to anchor his defense Edited January 20 by BeastMaster 2 2 Quote

ScotSHO Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I only see McD stepping back and becoming a DC again. Not sure which team, but it'll be a Carolina/Philly HC connection. 1 Quote

Kirby Jackson Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Just now, Mr. WEO said: without a Josh Allen, what is this culture? It started in 2017 though. He made this a professional organization. Obviously Josh Allen carried them to here but Sean took a place that had been horrible and made the respectable. It was a mess with Rex and he built the foundation. He deserves credit for that. If I’m a terrible franchise, he is on my list. 2 8 1 Quote
Process Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Cleveland makes a lot of sense. No doubt he'll get a HC gig, assuming he wants to continue coaching. 1 Quote
