billsherd Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Did we miss out on anyone other than Harbaugh? I didn't want him as a HC for sure. Quote
BullBuchanan Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Belichick is the perfect hire. He's the greatest coach of all time. You know it won't be a disaster abd you know he's on a shot clock at 73. He'll clean up the softness in the org, instill discipline and he'll never be out coached. He could unlock the last tier for Josh Allen too. If he doesn't win in 2 years, you have at least one more crack at it with Allen and you aren't saddled with a bad hire. 2 4 1 1 Quote
BeastMaster Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Tomlin ain't happening as the Bills would have to compensate the Steelers, plus he is apparently not gonna coach next season (rumors about an affair and getting a woman pregnant might be part of it) Quote
GreggTX Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I want a HC that has won a SB. I'm tired of waiting. I wouldn't mind Tomlin to rebuild this defense. Just leave Brady or, if he's hired elsewhere, see if Dabs wants his old job back. Quote

No idea how you can say you wouldn’t hate that move. I believe that his hands were tied. He scored a lot of points despite a clear lack of talent on the outside. This means he had to scheme without a portion of the field AND with extra bodies in that area. They still scored. Also, I don’t know his philosophy. I know Sean’s is to not get beat. It always got him beat. I LOVE that he’s gone. I watched the same thing for 8 years. I don’t see the same thing and expect different results. Edited January 19 by Kirby Jackson 4 1 Quote
BillsPride12 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Im just so nervous they are going to botch this tremendously Joe Brady for example would be such a Billsy thing to do 3 1 Quote
Iverwig Posted January 19 Posted January 19 (edited) Don’t be shocked if Belicheck isn’t the hire. Not saying I want him. Freeman and Cignetti will not be options imo and the Bills have to make a move with someone with NFL experience. It will not be smart to fire McD and hire a college coach whose unproven in the NFL. Whether McD got to the Super Bowl or not he was still successful and will have his pick of jobs this year and/or next. Edited January 19 by Iverwig Quote

I believe McDermott’s philosophy was destined to fail. I’m not sure that I can apply that to anyone else. I'd wouldn't immediately hate it. As I said a few days ago, I'd want to know whether Brady was being held back by McDermott and/or the player personnel that he has available and what he'd do if he had full reign on both counts. Dinoman Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I’m near tears. This is just another heart breaker. we need someone new to get the most out of Josh, whoever that is. Kliff Kingsbury had a good track record with Johnny football Mahommes and Murray even Quote

Well said. That’s kind of my feelings. He isn’t my choice but I think he would be better than McDermott at this point. Sean’s message wasn’t resonating any longer. Quote

I dont think he is capable of putting together a proper staff at this point. With strong OVs maybe. Quote

I didn’t think there was a chance of him leaving….but Josh + big bucks….. how do you say no? 1 Quote
