947 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Want- Kubiak Think- Daboll Do Not Want- Belichick. We need an offensive coach & I fear time has passed him by. His UNC teams have been bad, and no scary Defense to be found. 1 2 1 Quote
Success Posted January 19 Posted January 19 In addition to HC - I hope they finally hire real coordinators. 2 2 Quote

I'm being 100% serious, the tea leaves SCREAM Brian Daboll. I think Daboll got a raw deal with NYG. Inherited Jones...and no Jones was not that good. Then got massive injuries. Plus Rookie QB. Daboll is leading the way with me right now. Edited January 19 by RichRiderBills 6 1 1 1 Quote

Want: Curt Cignetti Think: Klint Kubiak (would be happy) Don’t want: Mike McCarthy Agreed. Unfortunately, I don't think there is any way we could lure Cignetti away from Indiana... Kubiak would be interesting. An offensive mind, at least. I REALLY DO NOT WANT Joe Brady. Promoting him from within, when we have had nothing but gripes/issues with how he runs the offense, would be the wrong move. Unfortunately, I think that is the likeliest outcome. I don't think that Beane and Pegula will actually conduct a thorough search, which would remind me so much of Drought Era decision-making. 1 Quote

I believe McDermott’s philosophy was destined to fail. I’m not sure that I can apply that to anyone else. Putting Brady on the sideline: 1) Hurts our offense since he won’t be in the booth calling plays. 2) We have absolutely ZERO clue how he is as a leader. No idea how you can say you wouldn’t hate that move. 1 1 2 Quote
May Day 10 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 We had defenders from multiple opponents this season exclaim with glee that they knew exactly what was coming from the Bills' offense. Tecmo Bowl Joe Brady is an awful OC who I was hoping would go elsewhere, I dont even want to contemplate him as the Bills' head coach at this critical juncture. Might as well end Allen's career as a Bill because it will take them 3-+ seasons to figure out Brady sucks. 1 2 Quote
SectionC3 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Want: someone to invigorate Josh (not sure who that is) and lead like McD did. Think: Daboll Don't want: Belichick 1 Quote

Cignetti might be a pipe dream, but if we offer him 40M a year and he gets to coach Josh Allen and be a legend in upstate NY….you never know! He’s the guy we need imo. That said, I don’t think it’ll happen. Kubiak > kingsbury brady is in play if Josh wants him. I prefer not. if we sign McCarthy I might just fall over dead 2 1 Quote
jethro_tull Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I bet (hope/ pray) that Mr. Pegula already had someone (GOOD) in mind and on the hook before making this decision. 3 Quote
Process Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I'll say this re Daboll. I don't think he's a great coach. If I was a fan of another team, I wouldn't want my team to hire him. But for the Bills, I wouldn't hate it. He has a great relationship with Josh, and our passing game was at it's best with him here. He's far from my first choice, but if he brings a top D coordinator with him, we could certainly do worse. If they go with someone like Kubiak (he is my top choice to be clear), you are risking the rest of Allen's prime on someone who is unproven. At least with Daboll we have a track record of success. 3 2 Quote

I could live with Daboll and Flo. I felt differently midseason - I was fine with nuking McD - but I really think he did a masterful job down the stretch with a bad roster and a reeling team. 1 1 1 Quote

You have so much more control in college and you can't just transfer portal your team to victory. I have an awful feeling it's Joe Brady. Quote
