Kromer knew. And decided to go. I had a feeling that was the case. Yikes

Josh probably knew or had an inkling too. Probably part of why he was so emotional after the game Saturday, knew he let down more than just his teammates.

Possibly. We will never truly know

I have a hard time believing the coach had more say in roster construction and personnel decisions than the GM though personally

Right but there’s a litmus test and it probably shrunk the number of possible choices.

My only major gripe with Beane is how he handled the receivers and the signings he's made at the position

Problem is this is probably a fireable offense given you have Josh Allen and that we have probably been a top receiver away from getting to the superbowl

I can see both arguments for Beane, if I'm being honest

I think the Bills will get whoever they want because of 17

well, yes. he's on the roster. It's the rest of the offense minus Cook that is glaring.

Correct.  Im not against Beane with a HC with final roster decision.  Tie breaker to the coach basically.  I think the scouting department is fine but vision needs reshaped.

Is the scouting department fine or is it the guy making the decisions?

I think we need a complete reset. Keeping Beane for another draft to mess up seems silly but I'm not the billionaire owner.

Are there any trash defensive coaches that worked for the Panthers that are available?  That's Beane's guy.

Ron Rivera? Lol

McDermott let Josh down four years ago with 13 seconds

He should count his blessings that Josh helped him keep his job when his defense has been a total failure when needed the most

I am just afraid that the Bills will do the Bills-y thing and immediately promote Joe Brady rather than conduct a thorough search for a more suitable coach. That would reek of the Drought Years where the Bills would fire someone and they would find their replacement down the hall...

They got this backwards, IMO.  McDermott has out-performed his roster for at least the past 2-3 seasons.

Agreed.  Prob more accurate if I had said Josh “felt like” he let people down rather than “knew”, because we all know the Bills wouldn’t be in these positions to win without Josh and there’s many other reasons why we have been losing these close games.

Yeah the line and TE's are trash

TEs are fine.  One gets injured for stretches.  Dawkins is insanely over-rated.  The O-line wasn't stout when it counted this weekend.  There is the regular season and there are the playoffs.
