Low Positive Posted January 19 Posted January 19 This had to have been decided a long time ago, pending the playoff results. 1 Quote

This is insane! So we now he's into another 17 years of not making the playoff? Like McD or not, he brought stability and competiveness to team that hadn't had any for a long time 2 1 Quote

Brianmoorman4jesus Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I love every part of this. We have talent. Coaching has held us back for the last 5 years. LFG!! 2 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted January 19 Posted January 19 (edited) Should read...."for now" Bills retained Whaley at one point, let him get through the draft and canned him the next day. Something similar here wouldn't shock me. Too many man hours invested at this point scouting the upcoming draft to toss out. Beane getting fired after the draft wouldn't shock me at all. I wrote the above before it was announced Beane actually got a promotion. Color me shocked on that. Obviously, he's sticking for at least another year and likely longer. Eesh. No_Matter_What Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Like I said in McD thread, I am surprised. If we had to fire one, we chose the wrong one imo. Anyway, @GunnerBill it seems that you were either wrong on this the whole time, or something has changed within the organization (you said many times McD is the one with the power and won't go before BB). 3 Quote
JMM Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I wonder if maybe Pegs went to him and demanded changes, like a new independent DC and he said no, and he had to move on. We will hear eventually Quote

NoelBillsFan Posted January 19 Posted January 19 As soon as they find a replacement, Beane is gone. If you guys think Josh Allen wasn’t consulted on this, I have a bridge to sell you. 1 Quote

JohnBonhamRocks Posted January 19 Posted January 19 If McDermott had that much say over the roster… what was Beane even doing? Maybe he wanted WRs and McDermott stood in his way? 2 Quote

Man with No Name Posted January 19 Posted January 19 remember, we retained whaley through mcd hiring and then the draft. then cut him out. could be same thing here. but i somehow doubt it. 2 Quote
