Special K Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I felt Cooks made some big plays in the two Playoff games.....including the one that was taken away from him in Denver..... he also had a catch taken away from him in the Jags game. If the Bills are going to revamp the WR room with a couple of draft picks, the Bills will need a veteran presence in that room, and Cooks could be that guy. He seems to have a chemistry with Josh Allen, has a Super Bowl ring, and I feel he brings a winners mentality as well...love to have guys on the team where winning and losing really mean something to them. Thoughts?? 1 10 Quote
Bills!Win! Posted January 18 Posted January 18 He definitely showed emotion in the post game interview. For a player that’s only been here for a little bit that definitely resonated with me 1 6 Quote
dorquemada Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Definitely keep him. Given Beane’s abysmal success rate on FA WRs, have to keep the ones that are serviceable, and Cooks is more than that 1 3 Quote
JohnBonhamRocks Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Cooks/Shakir/Shavers is a solid foundation 3 3 Quote
SCBills Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Shakir & Cooks with Shavers on PUP is all I care to bring back. Can we get out of Palmer’s contract? Cut Samuel. Coleman is a clown but I’d hold onto him unless we can get a 5th for him. 1 Quote

BillMafia716ix Posted January 18 Posted January 18 (edited) They need to trade for a veteran WR in his prime and draft a rookie. If not move up in the draft and get Jordyn Tyson from Arizona State or Carnell Tate from Ohio State Edited January 18 by BillMafia716ix 2 Quote
Man with No Name Posted January 18 Posted January 18 cooks can be our John Brown level guy. I like him. good thread. 2 2 Quote

Brianmoorman4jesus Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Cooks was fine. Good even. I have no issue with anything he did. I still think that’s absolutely a catch and ***** the pos refs. I hope he’s back. Our WRs are not why we lost. I want to keep as much about the offense as possible. We almost moved the ball on everyone at will. Quote
Doc Brown Posted January 18 Posted January 18 There's always a catch though when signing veteran WR's like Cooks. It may make them less likely to attack WR in the draft and he may lose that speed by next year as he's a little long in the tooth. Quote

Pecker Posted January 18 Posted January 18 No way no how don’t want his droppsies anywhere near here. Quote
iccrewman112 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I don’t know what Brandon Aiyuk would need for a contract but I’d try something short and very heavily incentivized. 1 Quote
Augie Posted January 18 Posted January 18 (edited) He certainly makes every catch exciting! I laughed at the one a few weeks ago where he literally left his feet to be sure he could concentrate only on catching the ball (after bobbling one out of bounds). I haven’t seen a good jump/catch in a few years, so he adds that amusing skill set. I’d like him back on the cheap as the backup for when the #1 WR/deep threat is hurt. Like having an old Jag in the garage for when the nice one is in the shop. . Edited January 18 by Augie 1 Quote
TheBeaneBandit Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I would love to bring him back. Even if we could only land him and a high end #2 in free agency and then another WR within the first 3 rounds that could work. Trade Palmer for a 7th just to get out of the contract. Quote

I’d be ok with Cooks as an wr 3 if we added someone like Addison (I think he’s still on a rookie deal), he’d cost some draft capital. Edited January 18 by Mod_Squad_Reject 1 Quote
