BillsPride12 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 (edited) Regardless of how you feel about Beane and McDermott as a Coach and GM(and there is obviously already a ton of discord and discussion on that and will continue all offseason) but it is time where we HAVE to move on if for nothing else we need a change of scenery with this organization. There have just been way too many colossal playoff disasters year after year after year that you simply cannot run it back with this group. There is a mental fatigue to the way this league and business operate. Edited January 18 by BillsPride12 4 1 2 3 2 Quote

Yeah or the Phillip Rivers Chargers teams. It's just so frustrating because Josh is talented enough where he could be the helm of a Dynasty team if this thing was built properly 9 1 Quote
Yobogoya! Posted January 18 Posted January 18 (edited) Just to play devil’s advocate, I’d say those 8 seasons worth of results are better than 8 seasons in a row of 7-9. But I agree. The stigma of this regime needs to go. They’re bordering on a decade of not being able to get it done and Josh deserves a chance with some new variables. It won’t happen tho. I'm not entirely sure of that anymore. If your Pegula you just watched what a shot in the arm it was for the Sabres canning the GM. Without even making any roster moves yet they have looked like a completely different team since he let Adams go. I would think he has to at least be considering changes being needed with the Bills at this point. 4 3 Quote

I somewhat agree. If they keep them, which I am 99% certain they will, they need to just go all out and bring in some real gamebreaking WRs. a room that includes genuine deep threats and guys who are good after the catch. Srw1525 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Beanes drafting especially in the early rounds has been a real big problem, McDermott and his time management, but the real issue is our coordinators. They love to hire and promote from within. With this team and a win now mentality we can’t keep bringing up rookie coaches to call plays. I know Brady has done it before but Babish hasn’t and it’s showed. 4 3 Quote
paulmm3 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 (edited) Yeah I had the thought that we are basically the Philip Rivers Chargers yesterday. I agree there probably should be change for the sake of change if nothing else. I'd get rid of McDermott and keep Beane this offseason personally but I'm open to just getting rid of everyone coach/GM/Brady/Babich. Not Aaron Kromer though. He has to stay. colin Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Tomlin McCarthy harby in balt billick in balt before, Reid in Philly, pederson in Philly we're all much better coaches at that time than MCD and all deserved to get fired. Beane has drafted two top level talents (Allen and cook) and traded for one (diggs) and also salary cap jailed his franchise. Although this is by the numbers the worst year to reset the front office due to all of the house cleaning in the NFL, there is no better time to cut the cancer out than right now. 1 1 Quote

Yes the org has failed to give him weapons but I think the bigger issue is he needs a QB coach who can calm him down and keep him focused. Yes I want him to be aggressive but the play at end of first half was all him trying to damn hard. I never coached but one would think the message at end of first half would have been take it if ya got it but be safe and secure! 2 1 3 Quote
BillMafia716ix Posted January 18 Posted January 18 (edited) Josh has had the ball in his hands 3 postseason’s in a row with a chance to win and advance on the final possession . He hasn’t made the throws. Defense forces a put in OT and all they needed yesterday was a field goal and he still couldn’t do it. I’m not giving him a pass anymore. He turned the damn ball over FOUR times. The Bills win that game easily yesterday if Josh protects the ball. Edited January 18 by BillMafia716ix 3 8 4 2 Quote

May Day 10 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I wouldn't mind McDermott as more of a ceo hc. He is a good culture guy who seems to get a lot out of players and for the most part I agree with most of his big decisions (go for it, fg, challenge, etc). Allow 2 good coordinators to mold the offense and defense. Sick of the undersized and average speed defense that gets critically injured every single season and cant show out for big games and big drives. Beane. Take him or leave him. In my opinion he has painted the bills into a corner too much with some costly moves (Samuel, Palmer, tons of void money, no young playmaker WR) Would like to see Allen complimented with a hungry, playmaking, aggressive, and hard hitting defense, as well as a WR or 2 who can be relied upon. 2 Quote

The INT in regulation he threw into double coverage and on OT INT if he leads cooks a bit more likely a TD. The underthrew on screen to Shakir and the overthrow to Knox in regulation all on him. DrBob806 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 (edited) Allen was hot & cold last night, unfortunately the most frigid in the 4th Q. When the Bills D allows Bo Nix's coming-out-party, well it's not good. I see many are comparing the Bills to the Rivers-led Chargers. I see I'm t more like the Kosar-led Browns. The best team in the conference for 4-5 years, still can't get it done. Keep McD, fire Beane. Our GM sucks. PS- I hate being right sometimes. Denver is the toughest place to play in the NFL. Huge home field advantage and a history of favorable officiating. Edited January 18 by DrBob806 1 Quote

Bingo These guys have been extremely stubborn on their schemes, philosophies, and personnel since they've been here. At a certain point you might have to accept the vision these guys have for winning a title isn't the correct formula. 4 Quote
Livinginthepast Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I go back and forth over three factors with this team. 1. Player personnel management 2. Coaching 3. Bad luck and injuries 1. Beane has failed repeatedly to build a defense that can get it done. This year he failed to build an offense around Josh that gave him weapons. This constantly forced him to play out of his head to get the wins. Its definitely a solid excuse to fire him but replace him with who? As we see regularly in the NFL there are GMs who are much much worse. 2. Brady called a mediocre game yesterday. Some great stuff early but as the game wore on, our running game sputtered and easy plays became few and far between. I can never decide if this is on him or the lack of quality on the offense. As for McD and the defense. They allowed 3 killer drives in this game. The end of the first half, the end of the 2nd and the OT. The D was gassed at altitude but what the hell, somebody make a play. Our pass rush? We had no sacks on Nix yesterday? I realize we are beat up to hell but you cannot throw in some defensive wrinkle, some disguised scheme to get pressure home? And with the game on the line we are still playing soft zone where receivers are running 7-10 yards open and DBs are standing still like statues? Year after year of this and they still dont know how to adjust when the game is on the line. I think Brady needs to move on and at the least and McD needs to be bring a real defensive guru. 3. All teams have injuries and bad luck but with the Bills its been like the Fred Flintstone black rain cloud directly floating above his house. How many years of killer injuries are we going to endure before our luck turns? As for the luck part, it wouldnt matter so much if we werent playing with fire every game and the margins werent so close. Perhaps that goes back to point 1 and/or point 2. So as you can see I am caught in the Bills vortex of pain. Where is the exit? 2 Quote
Walking Tall Posted January 18 Posted January 18 (edited) They had better move fast if they are going to move at all. I like the idea if Davis Webb as our next HC.30 years old, up and comer and has a good relationship with Allen. Edited January 18 by Walking Tall 2 Quote
