What is up with this insane narrative that Josh lost the team this game.

Did Josh have some bad plays? YES.

But the POINT OF A QB IS TO SCORE POINTS.

And Josh’s offense put up 30 POINTS. Think about that: THIRTY POINTS… That is enough points to win 97% of the time.

And he put up 450 yards of offense.

And had 28 first downs.

And was 67% on third down.

The DEFENSE on the other hand gave up 33 points. Thats enough to lose 99% of the time.

Even with that horrendous INT call by the refs, the Broncos got the ball at the 20 yard line. They needed AT LEAST 40 yards to get into field goal range (minimum). The defense gave up 75 yards!!!!

You want someone to blame? I say blame the side of the ball that gave up 33 points and 75 yards on the final drive… Not the QB who made a handful of mistakes but still put up nearly 500 yards of offense and 30 points.

Most importantly: Josh left the field with a 4 point lead and only 4 minutes to play and his defense gave up a 70-some yard TD drive.

He had 4 turnovers and had multiple chances to win the game.  Give me a break

The expectations for Allen are that 30 points isn't enough against a top ranked defense with the worst WR group in the NFL around him.

The expectations for the defense are that if they give up less than 30 against a middling offense they have done enough.

I'll never understand it.

EXACTLY!!! Every year in the playoffs this D is a JOKE!!! Josh had a tough game, he also was fantastic at times. He walked off the field very late again with a lead and watched it go down the drain AGAIN. Then gets them into OT,  and the D falls apart again.

This argument only works when the QB isn't turning the ball over 5 times.

Considering the Bills were tied 30-30 despite Allen playing with only 3 downs in the second half because everybody and their mother knew the Bills were running on first down, maybe he’s not most to blame here…

There's blame to go all around, but Josh deserves some of it. That stupid fumble at the end of the first half gave Denver a free 3 points. He gave Denver the ball right back after we intercepted it. He skipped a ball to Shakir that would have been a TD making it more difficult for Denver to win/tie. He missed an open Knox which could have sealed the game. There were other throws he missed that any QB his caliber should have made.

Beane reading this thread.. = Let’s use all our picks on defense again.

McD. = let’s keep the ball out of Josh’s hands and give him less possessions by making the other trams O have to drive the whole field.

definition of insanity..

Two of those were his fault. The final INT was a game winning throw if not for Brandon Beane's incompetence. And as usual Allen will shoulder the blame all on his own.

The offense having three plus turnovers is the difference

If they have one turnover or less they win the game

Not blaming that on anybody but that's the difference.... You can't have you can't have three plus turnovers on the road in the playoffs

It’s freaking insane.

Imagine going back 10 years and telling some of these fans that they are going to be mad with the QB/offense when they put up 30 points in the playoffs.

Oh, and they’ll give the defense a pass even though they gave up 33 points and 75 yards on the final drive.

They would laugh at us.

It's a quarterback narrative driven league. The QB centric mindset/lens is promoted by essentially every analyst and talking head every week. There is no curing the masses of it at this point.

This scheme will never be championship caliber.

But we’ll run it back next year and try again all the same.

Wonder what washed up pass rusher we’ll pin our hopes on Next season?

It's a broken record, but the next year every time we march out this ***** schemed defense that gets lit up in the playoffs.

Dude it's a team game

Josh Allen made a lot of plays he also had a bone-headed turnover..  like the field goal at the end of the game could be for the win if he didn't fumble before the first half

And Josh Allen's my favorite player in the world that's just unobjective

The refs giving 56 yards in the postseason to the broncos on offense and some wide receivers not coming up with the ball and Josh coughing it up could all be the reason

But nobody ever gives McDermott credit for the great games.. it's always Josh Allen gets the credit

Which is why he gets criticism

Now go back and tell them how many turnovers the offense had.
