He caught it, his knee was down, and the play was over. The defender stripped the ball after Cooks had the ball in his right hand and his entire back is on the ground.

Hose job at the end. We obviously shat the bed overall, but we had a chance to win it and the refs decided it was their time to shine the last 2 drives of the game

I mean I agree but that picture doesn’t help much.

The ball is the brown oblong object on his stomach in the photo.

Eventually we will get an apology and a rule change so it does not happen again.

Agreed, but it was such a bang bang play I can see how they got it wrong in the moment. Then there was no way they'd overturn it in that stadium if they hoped to walk out alive.

Edit: I'm getting reamed here, so let me say I was being facetious above.

Correct... he caught it, had control and had it when his back hit the ground, horrible call by the refs including both pass interference calls.

That being said, if we had real wide receivers, and Beane did his job over the years and actually drafted good ones, we probably wouldn't be in this situation.

It is clear and obvious on replay. It should be overturned even if called on the field.

What is shocking is this was so obvious it didn’t get anything than a quick review because it was a turnover?

Problem is he didn’t maintain control after going to the ground

Wrong! He already has possession. Once your back hits the ground it’s over! Period!

He caught it.  His knee was down with contact.  But the NFL says you have to survive the ground

Wrong! It wasn’t ruled incomplete! That’s the surviving the ground rule. It was ruled an interception. Completely botched call.
