Getting tired of this argument.

 

Almost every team in the league is dependent on the good play of their QB.

Of course the Bills aren't anything without Allen.  Just like the Ravens are nothing without Lamar Jackson, the Chargers are nothing without Justin Herbert, etc.  That doesn't mean he automatically gets absolved for all the mistakes he makes.

 

Allen has become a playoff choker.  Not to the level of those other guys.  But it's time he starts sharing blame among the fans.

Yes but we wouldn’t be here without him. It’s fine to criticize him but just remember he is the team. This roster has been horribly constructed and McD will never have what it takes to get us over the line. Theres too much weight on his shoulders.

Just like every playoff loss we've had under Sean McDermott, there were other huge problems.  Drops.  Penalties.  Turnovers.  No Pass Rush.  Etc.

 

But this is now the THIRD straight postseason loss where Josh Allen had the ball in his hands, with a chance to put together the game winning drive.  And in all three of those games, he failed.  In fact, he had THREE chances in this game alone.  He missed Khalil Shakir low, forcing the first field goal (putting us up 4 instead of 8).  He missed Dawson Knox long, forcing us to kick a 50-yard FG to reach overtime.  And then he missed multiple receivers on the overtime drive, before throwing up a prayer on 3rd Down which was intercepted.

 

Allen can have the greatest postseason stats of all-time, and it doesn't matter.  When he's had the chance to cement his legacy in moments like Tom Brady, Joe Montana and Patrick Mahomes... he's fallen short.  

 

His legacy will be this until he wins one.  That is a TEAM thing but the media and fans dont get that.

He missed missed Hardman in overtime, which would’ve surely put them in fg range.

He had a poor game but he’s also the only reason we clawed back into it after our garbage defensive backs gave up the easiest touchdown throws you can have.

The Knox was an overthrow but he did have a Bronco within a foot of his arm as he threw it and he had to avoid a turnover/sack

 

Hardman was at fault for his drop, instead of flattening he went further and Allen was throwing to the intended flatter destination

 

 

Also need to add the short hop to Shakir.  Simply doesn't come up clutch in winning time when it matter.  Had the ball in his hands for winning time the last three postseasons now.  Yet the excuses will persist.
