Obviously, the Playoffs....the tournament to compete for a Championship, is what you play the entire season for to get a chance at, but once it gets here, it's just a different feeling. I think for me, it's not so much about the game itself, but the prospect of once again having our season end before the last possible game. The offseason is long enough as it is. I just want to play until the last possible game and pray that game ends in a win. I'm just not ready for our season to be over and that happening scares me more than the Broncos do if that makes sense. GO BILLS! Are your palms sweaty? Knees weak and your arms are heavy? Is there, perhaps, vomit on your sweater already (mom's spaghetti)? By chance are you nervous but on the surface you look calm and ready? 2 9 Quote
zow2 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Upon further review last week was a bad day by the rushing defense. The Jags got impatient but they should have been feeding Tuten. Somehow the Bills D has to prevent the Broncos from gashing them like Jax did. Quote
boyst Posted January 17 Posted January 17 11 minutes ago, LetJamesCook said: Explain this to me, because this makes no sense. First, I’m just sick of this narrative of QB vs QB…..THEY DONT ACTUALLY FACE EACH OTHER! There will not be a single play today where Josh will go against Bo. So how will Josh “let” Bo beat him? Second, is this really the road you want to go down? This is the point where you turn against Josh if they don’t win? If the Bills do lose today, I better see nothing but “trade Josh” posts from you the entire offseason The difference between QBs like Allen and Mahomes and Brady is they get elevated by those around them and even more so as those against them. Those players have a gear above the elite athlete that makes them supreme. If you spend time around elite athletes of any sport you recognize that but if you ever see one of the actually premier athletes or spend time around them off the field you'll see the difference in that individual. The inverse and the rest of the league is different. Guys like Lamar Jackson who is a deck chair and folds when pressure is upon him. Guys like Darnold who when they have to try to hit that level they simply can't elevate enough and screw up. Guys like Rodgers who have elite supreme level but it is a high positive, no more physical ability to go to the next level. Quote

At the same time, our fanbase is way underestimating how tough this game will be because I think we're overindexing on last year's playoff result. We of all people should know better. Even two games within the same season can play completely differently, e.g. Miami 1 and Miami 2. And yet we find a game from 12 months ago to be significant? But in the end, we will win. We all understand that the Transitive Property doesn't always apply in sports but the fact remains: Bills > Jaguars, Jaguars > Broncos, Therefore... 2 hours ago, Desert Bills Fan said: Wearing my Josh Allen jersey to Barrett-Jackson today - GO BILLS ! I feel like the Bills will score late to make it a 2 score final. 1 hour ago, K-9 said: 1 hour ago, oldmanfan said: There he is! And this year particularly we’ve seen the Broncos come up with some big 4th quarters. I’m not saying it will determine anything, but it is a more significant home field advantage than you’ll find anywhere else. Arguably even more than size. So back to my earlier suggestion, what kind of gift should we get Tom Brady? Edited January 17 by Sierra Foothills 1 1 1 Quote

zow2 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 On the ESPN pregame show, Sean Payton said they spent all offseason trying to figure out how to play this game (Bills) at Denver this year. And here we are today. They got their wish. 1 Quote
Dillenger4 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 OK boys - it's here. Gameday #2! The Broncos are probably THE most overrated team in the AFC. Maybe tied with the Patz. The Bills are gonna roll them today boys. This game won't be close. We win in control. It's our year. We are the team to beat. Let's effin go boys! GO BILLS!!! 1 2 2 Quote

Did you hear him this week asking the Broncos fans to yell loud while the Bills are in their huddle - not when they are at the line. "It's the huddle where we need you to yell the loudest". So cheesy! They are going down hard today! Bills win BIG! 1 1 Quote

zow2 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Some other tidbits from the pregame show, Denver is open about using the cage rush today (aka mush rush). Containing Allen in the pocket and then the DT comes up the middle to hem Josh in. They also said the Denver offense wants to take the restrictor plate off and open up the offense. They’ve failed in the red zone and need big plays. 1 Quote

It doesn’t matter how good your defense is, Josh will get his points (he averages 27 a game in the postseason) and if your offense isn’t good enough to outscore him, the Bills win. Last week I said to my wife before the game that if we get to 27 we win. I said the same when we were down 13-17. This week the number is 24 imo. Quote

I have consumed zero national media this week, only soaking in the reviews of the Jax game. I consume zero national media pre- game content. Always, as it apparently is what the market has already assumed and therefore plays well. Therefore I ignore it all Edited January 17 by ProcessTruster 1 Quote
