All this talk of Labatt's Blue...

During the decades I drank in WNY I would say I was more of a Molson's guy... Golden, Export, and Canadian... and of course we used to slam OV splits at Gabels. Come to think of it we used to go to the Brewer's Retail in Fort Erie to buy the John Labbatt's Extra Stock (6.5% ABV) and of course Molson Brador (6.2%) just to get more hammered.

Beer has come a long way since then. I could buy the hopped up IPAs in the 9-10% range but these days it's Modelo Especial and Pacifico (both 4.4%), which are both excellent, every day drinking beers... crisp and not overly sweet.

I still can't do light beer... doesn't taste like anything.

Neo, McDivots in the heart of Westchase.  We also have a Buffalonians who has another restaurant in the same commercial area called Mothers that has the original Beef on Weck, but they make it with Prime Rib.  You pay for it, but it’s worth an occasional treat.  I’m just happy we can get Webers horseradish mustard on Amazon.

It’s been a LONG time, but I loved McDivots.    I’ll find you there.    I know a couple of servers who were a bit of an institution there probably 7 or 8 years ago.  Roxy and Nikki, in case you’re a long time customer.

I am since day one in 1998, as I’ve lived in Westchase for over 30 years, and the person is the institution there is Sade.  She’s been there since the beginning when she was only 15.  I’ve already picked up my wings so I’m enjoying this one with only my wife on the couch.  We can catch up another time for some wings or Beef at Mothers.  The owner is a past Buffalo guy like us.

Anyway, enjoy the game boys.  I feel better this week than last week.  Josh freakin pulled it off, and was a warrior with three separate injuries in one game.

I meant “I’ll find you there SOME DAY”.     I’m home with my wife, daughter and son in law .. doing some cooking!

A slight departure for me from my usual game food of Wings and Labatt Blue, that I bring home from my visit to family in the Southtowns. I have to work tonight, and my job involves running lift equipment, so I had to substitute Pepsi for the Labatt.

I should have made sloppy joes with turnovers for dessert for the Broncos game.

The broncos are a quality team and very tough to beat when you are -2 in the turnover battle.
