Carbonpoke Posted January 17 Posted January 17 A few years ago I decided to stop killing myself in the kitchen. I stopped doing the traditional stuff making home team recipes. In fact , I try to make quick and tasty stuff... ready before the games start. Today i went to a European deli and bakery. I bought molinari salami, soppresetta salami, mortadella, capicola. Hoagies And some bratwurst, we gonna make pastry wrapped brats with mustard and onions. Score? There is gonna be a huge contingent from wyo. 34-17. Im not feeling any nerves. Kinda weird. I listened to Morgan Wallen most of the day. Here's a pick from our trip to Josh's last year in laramie. Against Oregon. 2017. 5 1 8 2 Quote
NeverOutNick Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Awesome! My best from Michigan is coming over so I’m making my homemade wing sauce and air frying some wings along with making my homemade chili cheese dip and baking a couple of costcos Detroit motor city pizzas to give him a taste of home as well then we watch Josh and Cook tear apart the vaunted broncos defense. 34-17! 2 1 Quote
BigAl2526 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 (edited) Anyone planning on "mountain oysters?" It's a real thing. Google it if you're curious. Also good for a chuckle. Edited January 17 by BigAl2526 Quote
Sierra Foothills Posted January 17 Posted January 17 (edited) We're hosting friends who've had us over to their place several times. They always overdo it for us so tomorrow is our first chance to repay their hospitality. We'll have a charcuterie board to start with and Mrs. Sierra will make a Bison Brand French Onion chip dip knockoff using an envelope of soup mix (we can't get Bison products and French onion isn't a big flavor out here). Wavy Lays of course. She's also making her killer shrimp toast and also some deviled eggs (yeah, we're baby boomers). Earlier this week she made a homemade chicken soup (from the rotisserie remains) and a lobster bisque. I'm making bacon, cheese, and toasted almond crostinis and have already made a beef stroganoff. All I have to do is heat it up and serve atop pasta. It's way too much food for 4 people but it'll be nice to have the leftovers for Sunday. 👍 Go Bills!!! Carbonpoke Posted January 17 Author Posted January 17 Beyond the food, I wanted to say this. From 2000 to 2010, I only lived in America for 2.5 years. Most of it was spent in the sand. 82nd airborne. All-American. There is a quote... battle of the bulge. "Pull up behind me, we are 82nd, and this this is far as the bastards are gonna move." https://youtu.be/ae12u59BNRQ?si=Jq9R8zNFhJ3amd4G 1 2 1 Quote
