The graphic indicts the issue.  During this time it has never overlapped until the Bills started their run 2 years behind KC.

If you eliminate KC - who knocked the Bills out most years and won the SB - the Bills have 3 instead of KC.

It isn’t coaching as much as timing where both KC and Covid hurt our chances.

why did Covid hurt our chances?

re-set. beaner drafts ladd mcconkey to team with Shakir. this is a moot point. beanie had a hubris rant and will most likely cost him his job.

If I'm the owner, which of course I'm not, but I would view that rant by itself as no big deal. A GM should have confidence in his moves.

What I would have an issue with is after that rant, Beane spending the rest of the year quietly backtracking and chasing WRs. Moore, Hardman, Cooks looking to send a 1st and a 3rd to a division rival in desperation as an overpay for Waddle. To me, that makes him look wishy washy and incompetent.

If they get bounced tomorrow Beane needs to go.  One year ago we were lamenting about the lack of talent a WR, a weak defensive line and a pathetic pash rush, and no secondary depth (particular at safety).

All of those problems still exist today.

This is what scares me , and you can add on the cap isn’t looking good.

Blame McDermott for the losses to Miami and Atlanta

Philadelphia loss is on Josh.

A loss in the playoffs is on Beane

McD and Allen aren't going anywhere

No SuperBowl and it's time to move on from Beane. It took him 6 drafts to finally get a NFL sized DL. His WR decisions alone deserve termination.

No, the Bills should not win this game, but will.

McDermot is completely safe after one of his best coaching performances.

But Babbich needs to go, as it is pretty clear that when he has been in charge, things have fallen apart. But when McDermott has taken over they often look like a completely different, even championship level defense.

All I know is this.

In about 22 hours this whole board will either be complete euphoria and speculation about the Texans/Patriots or it will be completely melting down with endless "FIRE.....", "I'm done" or "Whatever, On to the draft" posts.

There is no in between.

Yeah, I still think they would have to be fired, and they’re coaching/playing like they know that too.

Can anyone say: delusional??

Extremely so too!

And pretty funny when you think about what he is saying!!   He is saying how well the team is playing and being coached-- as he calls for the firing the coaches if they lose this very difficult road playoff game against the number one seed with almost two weeks rest.

Shows just how lacking in objectivity this kind of view, 'analysis is..

If we were to lose, and the dust settles, and there’s been no year to year improvement, with massive roster errors, change would be needed and wanted by the fanbase. Pretty easy call.

1-2 good McD coaching performances shouldn't factor in when you’re talking about THAT many straight fails to get to a SB with a HOF QB in his prime. It would be totally absurd TBH. It is what it is.

Unless we win the superbowl it’s fire everyone

I think the decision is a little tougher if they make the championship game. I wouldn’t support blaming Beane for everything and firing him and then keeping McD. They either both go or they both stay 1 more year. They both share the blame equally over the years.

If McDermott is fired, everyone else needs to be out the door with him. Babbich, Brady, the WR coach and Beane.

I don't want/nor see a scenario where McDermott is fired and Beane stays. McDermott has done better at his job than Beane has at GM.

It doesn't matter if they lose this weekend or next though. I believe the season is a failure without getting to the SB and being competitive in that game. Just another season without a SB trip while Allen gets older and the division gets tougher.

Coaching errors and losing games we never should have lost is arguably a main reason we are on the road playing the number one seed (who had a tougher schedule and won the games they should have won)

Do we really want to be at home until next year?

Josh even went so far as to hint he hates the playing conditions at old stadium.  The field conditions that is...

Were they complaining?

Just the odds are against us.  Only 2 teams in 20 years.

Bucs NFC, 2020

Steelers almost 20 years ago.

If we lose in the divisional round i’m just going to weep.  Knowing that we had like 5 years of the best QB and best overall run by a team… that never made a Super Bowl appearance.  and it will feel like it’s getting further away.  I won’t blame anyone, except the curse of Buffalo.

Tell me were we 12-5 and in the playoffs or 5-12 and missed the playoffs? Just enjoy the ride.

That’s the entire genesis of the conversation. If people are satisfied being 12-5 and winning a WC game every year and sometimes a Divisional Game, you’d never make a change. If you believe Josh Allen is generational, better in the playoffs, and having the most playoff wins by any QB never to not make the Super Bowl is unacceptable, it’s team change.

I think that the one thing we all agree on, if Josh Allen is healthy, your floor is 11 wins. There isn’t a situation where making a change results in the Bills going to 5-12 (as long as Josh is healthy). Maybe they finish 11-6, maybe they finish 15-2? The regular season is fun but there isn’t a goal that this team can “achieve” in the regular season at this point.
